When it comes to construction projects, perhaps THE most important decision made is who you choose to work with. All contractors will be able to offer you the same or similar services and product. But how those services are performed, and product installed, certainly varies. As does the character and personality of the contractor.

Before deciding to work with IEEDesigns, I interviewed several other contractors, and even interviewed specific trades to see if moving forward with the project in piecemeal fashion made sense (financially and otherwise). I read reviews, looked into the records available through the Contractor’s State Licensing Board, evaluated the companies organizational structure, and reviewed projects completed through social media.

I happily ended on IEEDesigns for several reasons. Patty, at her core, cares. She takes the time and effort to understand your design style, to not only look at the spaces in the scope of work, but other areas (inside and outside of the home) to make sure the design and style is cohesive. Patty was also very responsive throughout the project and made herself available not only telephonically, but in-person, too. She was responsive and adaptive, taking all my change orders in stride.

Our project was fairly comprehensive for a backyard project. We removed Mexican Palms, moved retaining walls, moved the in-ground jacuzzi and overhauled the pool (including new bond beams, rebuilding walls, changing from plaster to an aggregate finish, tiling, coping and adding a new waterfall feature. We even changed the elevations around the pool), building an outdoor kitchen (including new gas lines, electrical, and plumbing), fireplace and separate fire pit, artificial turf, landscape drainage, irrigation, and low-voltage uplighting, pavers, and soft scape.

Each person in the various trades IEEDesigns had contribute to our project was very professional. They were extremely hard workers who showed up on time everyday, 6-days a week. The detail in the work was very good. On the rare occasion something was not to my standard (I.e. a surface drain was in an awkward position on a paver; or changing the style of pool skimmer cover), I’d raise my concern and Patty and team addressed it without issue.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Andie—who was so amazing in assisting us with the design concept, material choices, and soft scape.

Ultimately, we were very pleased with IEEDesigns every step of the way, and love the finished product. I have recommended IEEDesigns to the best of friends.
