The place is big with lots of plants varieties and the workers are friendly. However, some plants quality is not that good, especially the ferns 2 of 3 are died. They don't provide the replacement for any died plants. The price is not really wholesale price in my opinion.

After spending $300 I come to find out they under charged me by $200. So I have to make a second trip back to pay the difference. In the meantime I decide one of my plants is too small and ask if I can exchange it. They say yes, only to tell me I can’t since it was repotted, even though it was just after 1 day. I noticed the snake plants that I paid $40 for, were $30 at Home Depot, and I found Blue Flame Agave plants that I paid $85 for, much cheaper at Lowes and online ($25-$35). The health of the plants I purchased doesn’t look so great, and when I called them to ask them the best care instructions for the expensive plants, they stated they did not know. All this after spending $510 there!

I'm a professional landscape contractor, and this is one of the best wholesale nurseries in the area. There's a great variety of selection, and the people are very friendly.

They do not, of course, warranty the plant material. While this is not the norm for retail stores, for whole sales it is the industry standard. The plants are high quality and suited to the region, so I'm guessing the plant die-back listed below was due more to inappropriate site conditions then because of poor plant quality. In my own projects, I usually have only about 5% die back when other conditions are appropriate.

The only draw back is that Ogawa is more expensive then other wholesale nurseries though their quality is better.

I got my Avocado and Michela Champaca trees there and I'm very pleased with the experience. I got help from Lance and he was excellent. I plan to come back there again next month since we have some garden planting project at the meditation center.

As a landscape contractor, I appreciate the fact that they have some of the finest wholesale growers on the coast supply them with fantastic plant material.
