Quick response to my phone call and helped me decide how to proceed. The price was broken into sections and was very fair. I had a two story backyard flowering pear tree that was diseased, so it was decided to remove the tree and grind the stump. They did a fantastic job taking down the tree, which was sandwiched between the fence and plantings and ground the stump and removed sections so I was able to plant a camellia right where the tree had been. My neighbors were impressed with their professionalism too. Thank you for a job well done.

The owner of this establishment named Dave was absolutely amazing. I called on a Thursday and he came out for a consultation that afternoon. There was a consultation fee that I was fully aware of far in advance. The fee was worth every dime because I received a treasure chest of incredible tree and lawn knowledge from him. Information you won't find on the internet or via YouTube.

After Dave arrived, we immediately started to discuss the tree in my front yard. He covered some local tree history about why this particular tree is very prevalent. Unfortunately, my tree is suffering a slow death due to blight. Dave told me that my tree will look like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree in 8-10 years. That was a hilarious comparison by the way. My mind immediately went to my childhood to resurrect the image of the tree from the cartoon.

Needless to say, I will have the Urban Arborist remove the tree in the Fall. Any grass seed I plant in the place of the removed tree will have great temperatures to germinate in during the Fall. Subsequently, resulting in beautiful grass for the 2024 Spring/Summer months.

I was shocked ? at Dave's fee for removing a tree. He offered a very reasonable rate, which made me smile. Needless to say, I hired his team on the spot. I will see you in the Fall sir!

Respectfully,

Tolan

Fantastic service and high quality. Removed a fallen tree and a half dead standing tree on our property. Then did the stump grind and root chasing, filled in the holes, and cleared all the debis. All work completed on time, efficiently with a smile, friendly attitude, and professionalism. They are very knowledgable and gave the remmaining storm damaged trees a check in and prognosis, answering all my questions. They also offered suggestions for replacement trees when were ready.
Overall, reasonably priced, reponsive, quality work. I highly recommend them and will call them again for any future tree servicing needs.

We recently had a volunteer fan palm tree removed in the far corner of our property which was growing against our good neighbor fence. I received 3 quotes for removal and the Urban Arborist was not only the most economical but they were very efficient, fast, professional and considerate. We are extremely pleased with their service and will use them again when the need arises. Highly recommended.

Not sure where to start. Very strange interaction with owner. Scheduled an appointment to discuss planting some trees and shrubs in backyard. I have done hours of research already at Green Acres and online, so felt pretty prepared to discuss options. I even had a hand drawn map to show placements needed. Right off the bat he told me that he won't provide suggestions because he has had legal issues before with people upset with him about plantings that went wrong (infections, roots, etc.). He said that those problems are for the nurseries to deal with, not him. OK... no problem. I feel good about the list I made. Then he goes on to basically tell me to hurry up, that he doesn't have time to discuss anything, just to tell him the number and size of trees to plant and that's all he needs. When I told him I was hoping to discuss what size to plant and how far apart, he told me to go to the nursery with pictures and figure it out myself. I thought that was part of what we were going to discuss today?! OK... disappointing, but not a deal breaker. He then went on to tell me how he can't even provide me with a quote because I didn't provide an email address when I scheduled the appointment. When I said I wasn't asked for one, he said, "Well, we record all of our phone conversations, so I'll go back and listen to see." He continued to go on negatively about his staff person and tried to blame her for not being clear with me on the phone about what this appointment would involve. Basically, I thought he was going to discuss my project, not just provide me with a quote to dig holes where I tell him to do it. No input. No suggestions. No measurements. If that's what you are looking for (and I'm sure many people are), then he's your guy. If you want to have any feedback at all, call the next guy. I'm giving him two stars instead of one because he showed up on time.

The team arrived ahead of schedule and walked through the job with us to make sure we were on the same page. They got right to work trimming 5 of our trees, all considered medium to large (15-50 feet) with manual tools (perfect since our neighborhood is quiet and they started before 8am) and thoroughly cleared all trimmed limbs, leaves, and debris and we're done by 11:30. Highly recommended!
