A true hidden gem! The owner Robert was such a cool down to earth ? guy. I went with my girlfriend and daughter and he took time out of his day to show us around his ranch.

I'm not crazy about dates, but when I met the folks from Flying Disc Ranch at the Santa Barbara farmer's market their passion for dates made me willing to try one. That's all it took - I was hooked! They grow the best dates I have ever had in my life, and I've traveled to every continent on earth. I bought a box to bring home, which I left in my hotel room. When I called to get a replacement box shipped to me they could not have been nicer. If you think you don't like dates you obviously haven't tried dates from the Fying Disc Ranch!

What a treat....this place is beautiful, accessible and the dates are delicious.
Permaculture is such a pivotal concept for any one who’s interested in preserving the planet. It’s the next step after organic agriculture toward healing the earth. Flying Disc is an excellent place to experience what permaculture means on a day to day basis. Any one who is serious about the provenance of their food should check this ranch out
The tour led by Christina is informative and fun. It’s an easy day trip from Palm Springs and environs for all-including kids and older folks. We called the ranch first to make an appointment with Christina for the tour.
The dates are fantastic and come in 8 varieties.... who knew there is so much to learn about the subtleties of date flavor?
