This project with McCabes was an absolute strange experience. I would have thought that being in the nursery business for over 20 years would have been the best part of my project, I was always courteous to the staff. If they feel that my continued calls regarding the planting status was not appropriate, you should ask yourself why I had to continuously make these calls to get the job completed. As far as I'm concerned, they disrespected me because of their bad actions. With 4 months after the so-called completion, 1 missing plant and 4 that they chose to plant because they couldn't get what I wanted. I'm glad people have had wonderful experiences; I wish I would have been one of them.

McCabe's completed an extensive renovation of our landscaping turning way to much concrete and weeds into our own personal oasis. We recently moved to CA and had to complete this large project remotely while we still lived in our other state before we moved for about 6 months. This size of a project really could have been a nightmare for us but McCabe's professionalism and overall approach to communication really sets them apart from other companies I have worked with in the past. They are up front about all costs, honest, detailed and always looking out for what is best for the customer. Every one of their employees we met along the way carries themselves with all of these qualities and the work is exceptional. Shopper beware, John and the office staff do a great job selling the contract but everything after that is a disappointing struggle. The start date was pushed twice, and asking questions while the work was getting done was akin to pulling teeth.
The initial final product looked great and the workers did a great job, but after the office staff got me to sign the contract I did not feel like I was a priory at all.

I have over 5 plants/ bushes that have died and had someone come out over 45 days ago to do a post work inspection... that I had to call for to get set up.
Still no one was come out to help with warranty.

Mccabes charges as if your going to get the highest quality care but I have been ultimately disappointed. The work gets done but don't expect the company to care after you sign the contract, they push to have you talk to the Forman for all questions and concerns.

Pro tip!! communicate through email as much as possible! because they "forget" conversations that I had to prove we had, example; the reasons I hired the company. Seriously, I had to justify that we talked about why I hired them because they "didn't remember the conversation and said I should have brought up my concerns earlier" I had to prove that I did. That being said, good luck.
