Miner's bend Park was the dream of Sutter Creek residence Frank Cunha and Ed Arata. Their goal was to build a gold mining display in the heart of the Motherload. The outdoor museum and park tells the story of the gold in Amador County. Artifacts are from The Argonaut and the Lincoln mines. It's a great spot to get out and stretch your legs for 20 to 30 minutes.

Clearly this location is significant in the history of California, but it's not a picnic and hang out with the kids kind of park. Plenty of free parking, it's part of a huge curve on the highway. Presumably good for a stretch break.

Lots of really great history about mines in the Sutter Creek area. It's a quick walk but great if you need to stretch your legs. No costs are a great thing too!

It was just as I imagined. A place to park. Ample spaces, well pved and maintained. A perfect spot to drop the car and head into the beautiful shops and eateries that make up the classical western town of the golden era from California's not so distant past. You have 6 hrs to pursue your adventures in the historical town before you need to move it or lose it, your money that is. I'm sure the local pd keeps a good eye for that revenue stream. Speaking of which, I do believe your vehicles are safe there because right across the street is PD headquarters. So enjoy the sights and sounds of Sutter Creek with confidence knowing your steed is safe. Fun times!
