Recently Justin Day of Sage Tree Care in Buena Vista Colorado assisted our volunteer Friends group in a pruning project. It's on the grounds of an historic old homestead site we are helping to manage on public lands. Several 50-75 year old apple trees were desperately in need of rejuvenation as part of our plan to care for and interpret an important historic resource. We were tremendously impressed with Justin's technical skills, his attention to detail, his work ethic, and his willingness to share his techniques so that we can continue to do similar work on our own. We know he does great work on other tasks like removal of dead or downed trees but he's obviously also passionate about pruning, where the objective is to bring a tree back to healthy life and productivity. Sage Tree Care did a fantastic job for us! Justin was prompt and friendly and offered options in his estimate. When they arrived to do the work, he walked through the plan to ensure that we were in agreement and that access for his equipment made the least impact. They brought everything that they needed, including top-notch safety equipment, to execute some technically challenging removal of large trees near our house. It was a flawless operation! After chipping and stacking wood where I wanted it, they used rakes and a blower to clean up, leaving the area cleaner than they found it. They did a lot of work for a fair price. (Don't tell Justin, but I'm not even going to shop for competing bids for my next tree work ?!)

Justin removed several trees that were close to our house. He did a great job! The process of removing the trees was very methodical. He responded to my initial phone call promptly. The work was done on time as promised. Finally, all the debris was removed and everything left in good condition in our yard. The cost was reasonable. We would highly recommend Sage Tree Care.

Justin is a master at his craft. He is an artist with a chainsaw
and a climbing rope! We have used him several times and will continue to call on him when we need some trees trimmed or taken down. He shows up when he says he will, gets the job done and cleans up the job site. His prices are very fair and we highly recommend him. He responded quickly to my initial outreach, came to our home to provide an estimate in a very timely manner, and did an outstanding job clearing away all of the dead trees, branches and forest debris from our property. We contacted STC for an estimate on a job that involved trimming back willows on an overgrown creek that had become the residence of a family of beavers. All of the standing dead provided endless dam building material and that was causing flooding of the property. Justin surveyed the problem, offered a plan with input from our neighbors Jefferson Real Estate, and began the huge trimming job. I was called away during the work phase of the project but was shocked at the result when I returned. It went from a jungle like mass of willows totally obscuring the creek to a park like space with full access to the creek. On time, on budget, and a beautiful outcome. Highly recommended!
