There’s nothing better than visiting a place from out of town that seems to capture the energy and spirit of the area. Visiting Cortez was a joy, and stopping at Cliffrose was an unexpected pleasure. The staff was like family, the plants were obviously well loved and I love all the cool gifts I bought there. ps, LOVE the animals hanging out there, crows, chickens, dogs and pigeons- it felt magical!

Very glad we stopped at this adorable shop on our way through Cortez! They had a large variety of indoor and outdoor plants. We were visiting the area from Denver, so we were unable to buy any plants to take home, but they had a variety of gifts, trinkets, and household items, many created by area artists. It was fun to browse the store and pick up some one-of-a-kind souvenirs.

If heaven was a place on earth, it would be Cliffrose. The unique pots and plants are a green thumb’s dream come true. Entering the greenhouse alone is therapeutic. There are many different size and style of pots as well as so many plants to choose from. It is so hard to resist, but that’s okay, because the prices are phenomenal and fair. As a green thumb addict, this is my go to place for all plants and pots. You will not be disappointed! (Photos are of plants and pots I’ve purchased from Cliffrose, and one of the greenhouse. Such a cool spot!! All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The whole place is such a vibe! I look forward to visiting again the next time I am in the area. There is something to see everywhere you look and it is impossible to see it all in one visit.

We were passing through hoping to get a native plant or 2 to take home. The man helping us was friendly and helpful. The lady checking us out was rude. Did not give a good feeling of customer service at all. I would have left without plants if I had not already purchased them.

Great garden and houseplant nursery. The owner, Rick, and his staff are personable, knowledgeable and helpful. It's rare that we visit and don't find something interesting to come home with. Some pricing is a bit on the high side, but the selection of plants suitable for our microclimates is extensive and kept fresh. The indoor nursery with its cacti is a treat. We also appreciate their selection of high-quality terra cotta pots, trays and growing media.
