I recently bought a house with a mess of a backyard. The stumps and roots combined with debris from the previous owner were just part of the issue. Todd & Ryan came out & gave me an estimate that I felt was fair. They showed up when they said they would and completed the project in a timely fashion. I was so impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work!
My yard is no longer an eye sore and I am looking forward to enjoying spending time enjoying my time outside!

Hard To Reach Stumps is the only stump grinding and removal business you should hire. The quoting process was straightforward for what we were looking to have done, where we asked to break out two scenarios as we did not know what to expect for the cost. They came in around our budget and we figured it would be worth the extra expense on our part to get it all done as it would cost more to have them come back a second time to do the rest of the stumps at a later date. They were also careful to point out risks they would need to be careful around, which mostly consisted of awareness of proximity to other tree roots in our case.

They arrived at a reasonable hour and spent the rest of the time not just grinding the stumps down with their remote controlled machine (very cool to see, like an industrial roomba for stumps) that left very mild indentation in the lawn that was quite wet from the previous day's torrential downpour. They did check-in prior to starting the work to make sure I was okay with it, so it was my call as it is my lawn. I almost considered saving a few dollars and dealing with the soil and grass seed myself, but my wife convinced me to save my back and she was 100% right. They showed up with a trailer full of soil and even went to get a second trailer full! There is no way I would have been able to reasonably do that - more than worth the price to have them take care of it once and for all. They disposed of all the mulch that was produced as agreed upon, and did a great job cleaning up - dare I say even better than how I regularly leave things looking!

Not only am I pleased with their workmanship, but it is clear they take pride in their craft. They also took care of some tiny stumps in the yard for me that we did not previously discuss without hesitation. If you're still reading this and need your tree stumps removed (yes, ALL of those ash trees taken out from the blight), hire Hard To Reach Stumps and stop looking further.

Ryan and Todd were a pleasure to work with! I found them on Thumbtack and they responded immediately. They arrived on time and were fairly priced. These guys work quick and efficient too. They ground 7 big stumps in about two hours and even did a few extra small ones. I am very pleased with their work and I highly recommend Hard to Reach Stumps!

Todd and Ryan were great. The machine they used was something I’ve never seen before. They reached the stump a few hundred feet from the road with zero damage to my grass and had the job done in no time for a very reasonable price. Phenomenal experience..after a tornado took down twelve of our trees in November 2021 we were left with a disaster on our backyard. Our neighbor used this company so we tried them as well and WOW. Great service, great price, and very professional..so many companies usually specify that they won't clean up after but these guys left everything immaculate and spent so much extra time cleaning up after.
