I love Ladds! Their Shoppe is filled with amazing dragon, griffin, fae, and fairy garden items. Their plants are well maintained & cared for. For a small scale garden center & gift shoppe, it's well worth the drive! I'm slightly obsessed with their dragons! My gardens are filled with dragons, fairies, and griffins from Ladds.

My absolute favorite store. First became acquainted at the Brooklyn Fair. Now I'll be a customer always. Gorgeous foliage, outdoor gardening items, the CUTEST knickknacks and decor. Houseplants and tropicals are kept in a great climate that allows them to thrive. I've bought multiple plants with a few trips there in less than a month. Go there you won't be disappointed!

Loved the selection and the prices were awesome. Unfortunately they are getting a 4 due to prices not being marked correctly and when myself and the person in front of me tried to pay they wouldn't honor the marked price although it was their mistake. Would still stop again.

Closed Memorial Day, I discovered today.
Wonderful shop, staff always very helpful in finding the right sort of item or plant I'm looking for. Love the fairy garden too, everytime I'm there I see something new: isopods, liverworts, mosses. Probably the best selection of terrarium plants I've found in eastern CT -- I can think of one other contender but they don't species label their mini plants, unlike Ladd's who is thus the clear winner.

They may be a little pricey compared to corporate type stores but they are local and always have good service, I don't mind spending a few more dollars to support the community!
