Eagle Lake utilities is an absolute ripoff. We are a household of 2 adults with average water usage and our irrigation set to 2-3x/week. They regularly estimate our water usage well over 20,000 gallons per month. Our last bill showed usage of 40,820 gallons and our bill was $269.53. We've had other months over $300. This is a brand new construction home and we are on septic, so this amount is not even with us paying for sewer. Absolutely ridiculous.

I had a utility bill of $300. The issue is it was a new home, I live in it alone, and am almost never home a full week due to work travel. There was never a real explanation just guess or assumptions on why the bill was so high. I check for leaks...none, irrigation was set to twice a week for 10mins total so that couldn't have been the issue. There was a usage of 23,000 for ONE person in the home. Nothing ever resolved, and they beat you getting aggravated when you call. Needless to say I don't think there was much of a care other than if the bill isn't paid I will be without water. They are no help.
