If I could give Hurd Brothers more than five stars I would. I wouldn’t trust my beautiful oaks to anyone else at this point. They are true arborists. They care about their work. We spoke with other options who were more than eager to just cut off limbs and/or cut down whole trees, which turned out not to be needed at all. Erin is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about trees and plant care. He and his team are timely, efficient, and thoughtful. They clean up thoroughly after themselves, answer our questions respectfully, and do their work with care and precision.

Erin and his team showed up on time and worked efficiently. I was nervous to have our beautiful live oaks trimmed of some rotten limbs but Erin was a great communicator and consulted with me to come up with the plan before the trimming, answering all my questions respectfully. They did a fantastic job with clean up (looks better than when they arrived) and they were all around good people. The trees are both healthier and safer for my family to walk under now.

This week a Hurd Brothers crew came to our home and removed 35 trees. These men were the hardest working, most professional crew my husband and I have ever seen. You could tell this group had worked together for awhile as the job moved along seamlessly. Our yard was absolutely pristine by the time they left. They cleaned up every last scrap and left no trace of debris in our yard (nor in the neighbor’s yards or the street). On top of everything, the price was very reasonable! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

We had Hurd Bros Tree Care remove a 60 foot pine tree and two stumps from our front yard. They were very professional, worked quickly and safely, and they cleaned up all debris from our yard. They were 20% less than what our usual yard care guy quoted us and they got the job done in record time. Once I spoke to them, they had the tree down a week later. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

I would recommend that they hire someone that is competent in Customer Service. I called this company out to cut a knee high stump to the ground and grind it, also to trim a tree that is a menace on my lot. After walking with Erin and discussing my needs, he send me an estimate of $550. The price seemed right, because he was unable to grind the stump, only trim it to the ground. The tree, however, he said was no problem, and I let him know that they could cut as much of it as they could. I wanted it to die because it sprouted up within the last two years and was of no shade value. After receiving the estimate, the email stated that I would have to wait until the end of August because of their busy schedule, which didn't bother me. In mid July, I got an email for payment. I went outside to look at the tree, because I thought it was odd to get an invoice before the work was done. I was shocked to see that someone had been out and cut two branches that were about 8 feet off the ground and about 6 inches in diameter off of the tree... that's it. I saw that the stump had been cut from its original size of about 2 feet high, to approximately 3 inches.
My first thought was that maybe they came out and couldn't finish. I didn't contact them, thinking that maybe they were coming back at a later date. I received a nasty email from the Hurd office 15 days later threatening me with an additional $100 late fee for non payment. At this point I called and spoke to the person that takes their calls in their office. I could not believe that this person was their customer service contact, he was rude, obnoxious and I had absolutely no use for him. I took pictures of the tree so that Erin (who apparently wasn't there when the job was done) so that he could see the reason for my grief. After having seen the photos, and knowing that he had an unhappy customer, Erin put his head in the sand and cashed my check.
I was over charged, unhappy, and apparently Erin does not care. He STILL has made no attempt to contact me in any way. I have had it with these companies that do tree, landscape, etc. that have made their fortune in Gulf Breeze as it was growing. Now that they are ranked one of the top (volume) companies in Gulf Breeze, they think that they have no obligation to do the right thing. It's all about the money.
Erin blatantly disregarded every opportunity to make the situation right, and I will tell everyone that wants a recommendation about this incident.

Hurd Brothers did an awesome job removing multiple trees that were causing issues at a local condominium. Erin Hurd is very knowledgeable and actually cares about the health of trees so he doesn't just go around removing trees or over-trimming trees if he can help it. He and his crew are very patient and skillful, and they got the job done well! I highly recommend their services to anyone and everyone in the Pensacola and surrounding area!

I cannot figure out why anyone could give less than 5 stars. I would give them more if it was available! This company has been a God-send to my wife and I. When we first moved into our house, they did an amazing job trimming everything up and making it look amazing. And just this past week, we had a storm knock a large piece of the Oak in our backyard down onto our roof. Aaron was their the next morning before 7:00 a.m. to assess the damage and had workers on it that afternoon. By Tuesday, everything was fixed and removed from our house and the remainder of the damaged tree was taken down. Nothing but utmost professionalism from all of the workers. They were there for us when we needed them the most and took care of us. Aaron stayed in touch with us through the entire project and communicated everything. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
