We see so many bad reviews on this hospital, we were apprehensive to come to the emergency department. But, what a surprise! We checked in (about 5 minutes), waited about 10 minutes for a registration clerk and quickly went into a room. The triage nurse was very professional and informative. Within 30 minutes we saw a ER Physician. He was professional and very thorough with his examination. Ordered labs, CT scan, and with in 2 hours we had results. The staff was very compassionate and we felt well cared for. They earned 5 stars for sure!

Went in with debilitating sciatica back and leg pain and came out feeling SO much better. Excellent care and service from the triage nurse to check in to cat scan techs, nurses and the doctor. They were thorough and gave me pain management care that exceeded my expectations. We’re traveling in the area and appreciate being treated like family! Thank you!!

i didn't have a choice to stay here because of insurance, and the experience reminded me of my lack of choice at every turn.

the operating room team made fun of my appearance when they thought i was still under anesthesia, treated me differently because i was the patient of a private practitioner (because of a rare chronic illness, mind you) and they had med school beef with his team, and worst of all gave me hospital psychosis after a brand-new nurse tried to place an IV in my hand in the dark. the team then dug in my arm to try to place a line, holding me down while i cried and screamed for help. i have a very high pain tolerance and it was some of the worst pain i've ever felt -- i then hallucinated for the rest of the night, and i still feel spikes of fear months later.

oh, and on top of that i took home a respiratory infection because my intake nurse was unmasked and coughing in my face after loudly talking to a coworker about how she thought she had the flu. i went in super optimistic and excited to be free of a condition i've lived with for a decade. i left fearful, bruised, and ill.

Tonight I went to the hospital here in st Mary’s. I have been dealing with jaw pain for 3 days that comes and goes but tonight it felt like I had a Charlie horse in my face and I was honestly scared.

I got there at 8pm and was triaged about 8:30. I have bad teeth when I was pregnant with my daughter I became anemic and had a severe iron deficiency my teeth basically went to crap.

I just got health insurance so my teeth are on the list of things to get done but as a widow and single mom I always put me last.

Anyway I noticed people who came in after me were going in before me people who were seemingly fine while I was literally crying in pain.

I walked up to the desk where the girl sits that takes her name and gives you your ID bracelet when you get there, and I asked her how many people were ahead of me and there were still two people ahead of me people who had come in after me And I said i used to work in ER and I really feel like I’m being judged by my appearance and you are assuming I’m drug seeking and she didn’t say anything she’s like can I offer you another ice pack for your face which I gladly took.

I went and sat down and just totally lost it and was hysterically crying in the middle of the waiting room because I have never been judged or treated so horribly in my life I’m afraid of Tylenol I very rarely go to the doctor. I have a fear of the dentist , so to be treated like something that isn’t me at all hurt me so much.

So to the ER department at that hospital, you need to do better because judging someone without knowing someone is how people die. Just do better.

The literal only reason I’m giving it even a star is because the nurse practitioner was semi nice. But I went in because I am pregnant and I was having some of the worst cramps of my life and I really feel like they did nothing. They took my urine to confirm that I’m pregnant which I already knew that and then they made me wait there for so long that I ended up just going to sleep from the pain, when they woke me up, they were discharging me. They didn’t really tell me what was wrong. I had to leave and read the paperwork. They didn’t do anything for the reason I came which was because I was in so much pain. They gave me no pain medicine no anything. I let him know that I’ve had several miscarriages before. I thought I was gonna be informed what’s going on and told if everything was OK. I still don’t even know if everything is OK with my baby I’m going to a hospital in Jacksonville tomorrow if the pain doesn’t subside .

would give no stars if i could. went in to the ER in May in a lot of pain, was told it was a kidney stone. The doctor advised if the pain does not come back the stone passed. Fast forward to end of June, I went septic in the hospital in florida for the SAME stone that was lodged and blocking waste from exiting my kidneys. Still currently dealing with the same issue due to having to wait with a stent in before I can now finally get the stent and stones removed. These doctors do not care at all.

Head nurse Ashley and Gina were very sweet even when they were under a lot of stress and overwhelmed. They made sure I was okay everytime they walked past me. They both deserve a raise or a nice bonus because they are amazing!
