If I could give negative stars I would. The service, parts and sales departments are very difficult to deal with. Their rates are insane, much higher than 3 other dealers I deal with in Alaska. I called on a set of teeth for my excavator, they wanted $300 each, local dealers wanted $55 each for the same teeth. Their labor rates, and parts are extremely high. I'm honestly shocked this company is still in buisness. I will make every effort to not own a bobcat piece of equipment.

So my wife and I stopped in today at 11am 9/24/24 to purchase a lawn tractor for our new home. I'm temporarily disabled (back surgery) so we thought we'd buy a lawn tractor now with a snow blade to help keep our new property clear this winter in addition to a snow blower, and then we'd also be ready for spring.. We walked in and looked around, and NO ONE even ACKNOWLEDGED our presence? We walked to the Stihl display, then looked at the John Deere UTV. People walked by us and sat at their computers. One young lady looked as though she was hiding behind her monitor. We stood there a while, then went outside and looked around, then we left and went to the Husqvarna Jewell equipment dealer. They were more than happy to pull equipment out of a convex for someone with cash to buy a lawn tractor, bins, and snow plow as well as a snow blower and all delivered. Not sure how Craig Taylor stays open with customer service like that.... Go to Jewell Equipment

Took my MS250 chainsaw in last fall to have loose handle looked at. No defect noted. Torn lower handle buffer broke through this spring causing work stoppage. Ordered $11 part and waited 43 days until I was told part came in.
I spoke to the manager [1 month point] who said there's nothing she could do except offer for me to pay another $25 to expedite [no guarantee] shipping. Evidently, the part was ordered "shop stock" and there was no invoicing on it at that point.
Drove 50+ miles round trip to find out part didn't come in. Was told there's nothing they could do and they're at the mercy of Stihl.
I got a refund and ordered it Amazon Prime for $8 and I get 4 each buffers and buffer caps. Part is scheduled to be here next week!
So much for keeping it local.
Stopped at Husqvarna on my way home.
That 460 Rancher will likely be the next saw going for a ride in my pickup truck.
I have the full complement of power and hand tools at my two properties but my loyalty to Stihl is waning...

Lazy salesman, zero drive to sell anything.
Worst customer sales experience ever. I was about to spend $3,500 and chose not too simply because of the rude, lazy salesman. My business goes to sunbelt.

i purchased a J D compact tractor and attachments from Craig Taylor north of Wasilla recently and am very pleased not only with the machinery but the whole experience! this was all new territory to me and Cody who was my first sales contact was very generous with his time explaining to me the models and capabilities etc. of each and helped me to choose the equipment best suited for our small farm. Then Cord followed up with even more assistance and information and then Jennifer, the finance manager, took care of all the paperwork herself and got me excellent financing terms. Being an older woman, i was admittedly a bit intimidated at first but everyone there was really friendly and responsive to my questions. I feel like i made a really good decision and a great investment. I hope their manager sees this review. they all deserve kudos! THANK YOU ALL AT CRAIG TAYLOR!

The customer service is great! But……they’re mechanics are awful. I’ve been a customer for 3 years now and so far EVERY time I go in to get a new part or get something fixed they seem to really mess it up without fail. They either leave the tractor in worse condition then when I brought it in or not fix the problem at all. I live pretty far from Craig Taylor so every time I have to bring my mower out to them it ends up taking up half my day. Which gets really annoying when your going there a lot (I’ve had to go back to get the same problem “fixed” 5 times in one month). All in all they’re great as long as you don’t let they’re mechanics near your equipment.

These guys are awesome... im a twenty year sawyer, do all my own maintenance on my saws and know a good amount. Requested a new part for my 500i and instead of the easy money they coulda made, they showed my how to fix what I had. Saved me money and time... respect to these guys for taking the time instead of the money

Got the parts that should have come with our Stihl trimmer except my son made the mistake of buying it from AIH.Waited on the phone for over 30 minutes to talk to the Stihl guy at AIH as nobody else could help us. Never did talk to him and never got a call back so we went to Craig Taylor. Parts department at Craig Taylor we very helpfull and understanding.
