Hazelwoods Nursery-Greenhouses - Pell City, Alabama

My Fiancé, Son, and I visited this place this past Saturday. Even in the dead of summer, they have such beautiful plants, and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! The nursery is HUGE. I recommend you asking to borrow a golf cart and drive around the land to see everything. It’s wonderful! The prices are great as well!!

We will be going back!

I love Hazelwoods. They always seem to remember the shrubs and trees that I have bought over the last few years. We discuss the growth of the trees and shrubbery as if they are my adoptive children. I love their suggestions for companion plants based on my ecosystem. They are like family.

My husband and I love this nursery. Gayla is a ROCKSTAR!! We have bought numerous plants from them (Chinese Snowballs, Limelight Hydrangeas, Knockout Roses). Whenever we have a problem with our plants, I will send her a picture of our problem and she knows exactly what to do. For example, we have Knockout Roses that we purchased from Hazelwood planted around our mailbox that started to show some type of mucus or disease on them and we thought we would have to destroy the whole bush. I took pictures (see below) and sent them to Gayla and she told me it was only a fungus caused by warm days and cool nights and all we needed to do was treat the bush with an antifungal spray for roses.

I love this place!!! All of their plants are very healthy !!! Love the black petunias that I found there this year!!!! I have bought several petunias here that have come back year after year even though I never bring them indoors as they suggest. I don't even bother to protect them during a frost.

These people are amazing! Always have been, they’ve always taken great care when it comes to helping my mother get what she needs and wants for her annual gardening!
They have a vast variety of different species, anything from native plants to some exotic species! Hands down one of the best nurseries to go to around!
They are very helpful for people that need help with the heavier items! They always help my mother if I’m not with her!
They also have golf carts to help transport you and your plants from the grounds to your vehicle!
They are also very knowledgeable about everything that they have for sale! Basically know exactly where everything and anything is and can tell you where to find it!
Thanks for always helping my mother when I’m not able to!!
