I had the best service today from John and Ray. They were so kind and helpful. I could not open my weedeater canister to put in new line. It was caked with dust and I just wasn’t strong enough to push the sides and pull off the cap. Felt foolish but they got it off and installed the new line I bought and carried it to the car. I always get good service at Ace but this was the best!.

Paul and the team at this Ace have gone so far and above with their service. I had a log splitter delivered to them for assembly for my Husbands Christmas present. The splitter showed up completely unassembled, with multiple parts missing, a total disaster. They made countless phone calls and stayed in contact with Northern for over 2 weeks!!! to get all of the missing parts and machine malfunctions figured out. We picked up our log splitter today and my Husband is sooo happy! This would not have happened without Paul, John, Anthony and Charlie and everyone else who helped in the assembly of this beast! Went in to buy a chainsaw and experienced terrible customer service. Sales clerk behind the counter couldn’t be bothered, almost seemed annoyed by my questions. Since he couldn’t be bothered I wasn’t going to bother giving them my money.

Update*
I ended up placing an order for the specific chainsaw that I wanted through the Stihl manufacturer website, which works through Ace hardware stores for distribution. I picked up my saw from a different location and was given much better customer service and care. It turned out that I ordered the wrong chain filing guide, to which the manager of that store had a solution right away, which involved my return to the original shop I had visited. Much better interaction this time, so I’m amending my review from 1 star to 4.

Charlie in Parts is extraordinary! His advice to get my blower back up and running quickly, rather than have it in the shop for a month, was spot on. He got me just what I needed, and my blower was back in business in less than an hour. Knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly - Charlie is a gem.

I went in to buy several landscaping tools so I can do my own yard work. I had lots of questions. I wanted the right tools that I could handle for my petite size. Charlie was a good listener and very patient. He spent time explaining the different brands and sizes of tools that would be best for my needs. He showed me the various models and gave the pros and cons of each. I feel great about my purchase and am glad to know they can sharpen and replace any parts in the future if needed. Great place!
