Had a great experience here! Lots of plants with information about them and staff who are super knowledgeable and helpful. Great selection for outdoor, indoor and seasonal stuff! Also there’s a huge parking lot which is really nice. Prices aren’t bad either! Only drawback was that I personally found the checkout process (where it was) a bit confusing my first time there.

Really wonderful plant shop and gardening center. They had a huge variety of unique plants, both indoor and outdoor! I was really happy to find some tomatillo plants and even Cucamelon seedlings. I had problems finding those in big box gardening stores, so I was happy to find them here.

The prices felt like a steal, I got 3 Pilea Peperomiodes of a decent size in the same pot! The staff are also really helpful and approachable. What more can I say, come here for your gardening needs ?Maybe you’ll find your dream plant.

As a decades long customer of Gethsemane Garden Center (spending between $500 - $1000 each season), I'm sad to report the quality of the plants sold there have noticeably declined. I never minded paying a premium price when Gethsemane offered higher quality; however, this year 3-4 of the perennials I there purchased died within a month or so.

Case in point: see the photo. I purchased two of these perennials based on the recommendation of a Gethsemane employee. Planted side by side, one is doing just fine, the other is dead. Same light, same soil, some amount of water. I have to think it was the plant itself.

When I was at Gethsemane earlier today, I mentioned this to the perennial staff member (just happened to be the same woman who initially recommended these plants.) Of course, she said it was likely the soil, the light, watering ... and at least inferred it was my gardening skills.

I suggested the evidence pointed to a different conclusion, but the employee definitely would not consider providing a replacement. "Our policy."

I used to love this garden shop. Usually, toward the end of the season they used to discount the mums. They're still trying to sell their mums that are all broken off and flowers that have turned brown for almost $10. This is for a small pot. Ask for a discount since the product probably wouldn't last more than a week and the answer was "NO". There seems to be more rotation with staff within the last 2 years at this place and the management used to be very accommodating to their regular customers that almost go weekly. The staff is absolutely wonderful to deal with and can guide you with your needs. It's too bad that I've been gravitating toward Home Depot and Jewel for my flower needs. They'll used to sell unique and interesting annual foliages and flowers but it doesn't seem like that anymore. That's been the case for quite some time now. For some reason, the past two years the pansies have not had root balls when taking them out of the pod trying to plant them. I didn't have problem with Home Depot pansies doing this. It's also quite pricey. It's sad, because this used to be my favorite neighborhood place to go. It still can be a nice experience for new gardeners due to the staff 's wonderful knowledge.
