If you’re looking to add a patio to your house make sure you call Dave before making your final decision. He’s incredibly professional, easy to work with, does great work, and he and his team follow through on their schedules even when the weather doesn’t cooperate. I’d highly recommend Dave. I contacted Dave Bermingham of D&A Landscape after researching numerous contractors. His previous reviews were justified after seeing him & his crew work. Dave responds quickly to texts & phone calls.
Once we settled on a patio replacement versus doing repairs Dave was very helpful with taking our ideas, explaining pros & cons of them and moving forward with the project after we agreed to the layout. It was a little more complicated since we were keeping some aspects of the previous setup. He & his crew did a great job of tieing it all together. We are very pleased with the results.

At the time of buying our home, we knew that the original backyard full of pavers, gravel, and mulch was not for us. Multiple landscapers ignored my phone calls after seeing how large the job was. I was so happy that Dave took the job on. He is professional, responds in a timely manner, and manages a knowledgeable team. We love the final result!

I heard about D & A Landscape and Patio from a neighbor. The owner has a fast response time and came out to provide me with a free estimate. Dave was able to fit me in about 1 month ahead of my original scheduled install date and the job was completed in a timely manner. Dave's crew was very respectful and they were hard workers.
Update: I recently found a few issues after about 1-2 months after job completion. The main issue did not present itself until settling took place. I contacted Dave and we are in the process of scheduling a time to have him evaluate the issues at hand. I will update once the issues have been rectified.

Update, Dave came out and I showed him that the square around the tree was off center and the front of the square was not level (middle section was higher than the ends). I also showed him how sections of the retaining wall rock back and forth with barely applying any pressure. Dave stated the square was off center due to roots and stated I agreed. I agreed to roots being cut but I never approved the square being off center. Prior to the installation, Dave spray painted a square around the tree that was centered, which I agreed too. Dave brushed off my concerns about the retaining wall rocking back and forth. After going back and forth Dave finally agreed to correct only the square around the tree but he wanted me to sign off stating there were no additional issues. I did not agree and he rescinded his offer to fix the square. I also had concerns about settling which he said would not occur. The retaining wall had a thin layer of paver base beneath it and the retaining wall was not recessed into the ground, which also caused the sections to rock back and forth. I decided to hold off on updating my review to see if any additional settling would occur. Several spots have settled and made the wall uneven. Multiple stones also became loose and I had to reapply landscaping cement to hold it in place.
Dave and I went back and forth through text messages and he pretty much called me a liar and he cannot accept that his employee did not install my retaining wall properly.
Dave lacks accountability for his employees work and is not willing to fix the issue at hand.
I will say, I have seen the work that Dave has completed and he is skilled to complete the work but his employee that worked on my landscaping lacked the proper training. So if you do hire Dave, make sure he is the one doing the work.

I can’t believe how good our paver patio looks after the work D&A had done. We basically lost control of the patio 😆. We hadn’t sanded since we moved in over 6 years ago and the weeds took over and pavers were shifting. Dave and his crew cleaned out the weeds, leveled the pavers and power washed everything before resanding. It looks like a new patio!! They did an excellent job at a reasonable price and got me on the schedule within a few weeks. I highly recommend them! I wish I had before photos but here are a few of the after pics for reference.
