A small neighborhood park that borders the Chicago River and the CTA Brown Line, this park contains a grassy hill and a large sand play area with a small bridge. The playground features a smaller area designed for younger children and another area with monkey bars and climbing elements designed for older children. There is plenty of morning shade and several benches and picnic tables at this park making this a comfortable spot to watch trains while you play.

Hidden gem. This park is great in its own right. It’s got plenty of space, a sandbox, and all the normal slides and things you’d expect at a kids playground. However, this place has some bonuses. The first is that the train runs right by the park at the top of the hill. Can be fun to watch the train from the park and to hop on for a ride and point out the park from the train.

Also, the loads of “donated” toys (mostly things with wheels that kids can ride) that now live at the park permanently are a huge plus.

My baby is fixated on this park.

It is very baby cordial. There is a tremendous sandpit that partitions the little child and more seasoned child play structure. Likewise, throughout the long term families have left dump trucks and sandcastle supplies. Which we call a success!

It's such a lot of enjoyable to likewise watch the trains and planes cruise by.

My toddler is obsessed with this park.
It is very toddler friendly. There is a huge sandpit that divides the toddler and older kid play structure. Also, over the years families have left dump trucks and sandcastle supplies. Which we call a win!
It’s so much fun to also watch the trains and planes pass by.

Great little park tucked away. CTA runs right by it, but you learn to ignore it quickly. The little hill is great for sledding with small kids. The sandlot always has toys in it for kids to play with. No restroom, but a few places close you can run to easily enough.

Lovely community park. Jungle gyms, swings, sand pit, and a grassy hill! The community also donated lots of spare toys around!
