We live well off the beaten path and after many unsuccessful tries to hire a company to come and provide us with some basic services, we had given up hope. We had been "ghosted" several times (never knew what that meant before) and had given up hope of a business that truly MEANT what they SAID.

We hired this company by starting with a custom root cellar request. The root cellars being offered did not meet my temperature and humidity needs, so I had an idea of what I wanted. I had done my research. I reached out to Adam, who listened and responded. He offered EXACTLY what I wanted, custom made, at a fair price and I LOVE the finished product. They were so reliable and did such good work, so we hired them on to complete the fence project we couldn't get anyone to show up for and also to help us level a spot for us to enjoy our backyard with a retaining wall. They completed both and WOW!!!! Such a beautiful, complete job on both projects and after waiting 2 years for someone to do what they said they would do, we have a backyard they built to our specifications and design. Sooooo....we did what anyone would do and paid them to stay on and complete our paver project too!!! I feel like they are family. All jobs were completed today and I wish I had something else I could hire them to come back and do. We were recommended Rough Cuts Construction for driveway concrete and drainage work to replace the old drainage system that was clogged with leaves and other debris at our home.

Adam came out and knew exactly what we needed and recommended a drainage system that was extremely strong and would last a lifetime. The drainage system would keep most if not all debris from entering and preventing future clogs. It took only a couple of weeks for the system to be ordered and shipped. Once it was in Adam and Kent came out the very next week and finished the entire job by week end. The finished product looked great and very professional down to the special finishes he put into the concrete to make it match the existing driveway concrete.

We were so pleased with their work, fair pricing and cleanup that we also had them undertake putting in a concrete slab by our detached garage at the same time which formerly was nothing more than 2" x 8" pieces of painted wood boards that had all rotted out due to the gutter down spouts that flowed out directly on to them. Here too the finished product was fantastic and of course they once again put the extra finishing touches on the concrete slab to make it look even better.

I highly recommend Adam and Kent from Rough Cuts Construction and will definitely will be using them again in future projects at our home.

These are tough times although we all still expect value for our hard-earned dollar as well as quality workmanship. Both are getting harder and harder to find in all aspects of our lives and when we find a good one, we want to yell it from the rooftops! Seems of the past few years, and longer in some areas, we live a world of contractors who will not even call you back, shameless price gouging, disappointments in workmanship and overall frustration in products and services.
Adam breaks the mold of any contractor you may have had issues with in the past, he is hard working and honest. Adam is Rough Cuts Construction and takes pride in every detail of your project. We had the privilege of working with Adam and his team of which our ideas sketched on paper were brought to life along with Adams touch and knowledge of products to enhance the project. The quality is ever present in the details of the design and the layers of work to create the final product, some of which we did not know or think of although Adam explains the reasoning, the costs, and the benefits behind the many aspects and suggest options and ideas to provide a better product.
We had both retaining walls, landscaping and decorative sidewalks, and concrete work done and could not be happier with the project as a whole. The concrete knowledge and quality workmanship is excellent, the finish work on our garage floor is spectacular and the stamped and colored concrete offered by Rough Cuts Construction brought the landscape aspect to another level. If Adam does the work, it will be to the best of his ability of that you can be sure. Clearly Adam specializes in concrete work, retaining walls, landscape design, and customer service. If you are looking for a quality job with value for your money, a fair and honest contractor who will call you back if you leave a message, do what they say they will do, clean up the debris from the project and build your project as you both agreed, Adam is your man.
