I was inclined to not review at all since we paid the invoice in full but since Josiah at Apsenwood Landscape decided to make up a strange story I will throw in my review and show photos of their "Beautiful Job". These are photos from today.

From Josiah's own email he sent us when I asked about some of the issues after not receiving a final walk through.

"our company tries to push our clients to do pavers which comes with a 3 year warranty. Concrete is a more affordable option than pavers so we have to offer this inferior product when pavers or flagstone is out of the budget"

So just to point out he never offered a quote or mentioned pavers but its clear there are some issues with the patio and for the $8800 we spent I was just excpecting a little more attention to detail. It is was it is.

Please see pictures below of the patio after we completed the necessary steps that must be done when installing stamped concrete.
Her review contains inaccurate information and misleading claims from an individual attempting to negotiate a significant discount for the job. I urge the reviewer to provide the after pictures of the stamped concrete job, particularly after the sealer application, for a fair assessment. I'll attempt to share these images in another review to accurately represent the project's success.

It's essential to clarify that, after pouring the concrete and completing the stamping process, there is a necessary curing period before the sealer can be applied. The colder weather conditions extended this timeline, but we promptly dispatched a crew shortly after the pour to retrieve all forms and dispose of trash. Contrary to the reviewer's statement, Emily did not handle this aspect and had no place to dump the wood from the forms.

Once the concrete reached sufficient curing, we conducted necessary touch-ups and applied the sealer, resulting in a patio that met our high standards. It's crucial to highlight that any offer of a discount was made in an effort to address concerns regarding the perceived delay in final touch-ups, not as an acknowledgment of any fault on our part.

We maintain a professional and respectful environment on our job sites. We are committed to resolving any legitimate concerns and encourage direct communication for a more accurate understanding of the situation. This reviewer would fight and scream at her husband in the kitchen every day we were there making the work very uncomfortable for our crews. I'm glad this job is done and the work came out great. Maybe they will do the right thing and show those pictures and stop trying to get a discount for great work.

Scam artists and no accountability if your plants die

When they quote you a price for rocks or edging check with Pioneer in Parker before signing anything. They tried to sell me the aluminum edging to separate rocks from the grass for $107 per 10 ft section, then said go to Pioneer and check their prices when I complained. Pioneer sells it to them for $7 per 10 ft section, or you can go to Home Depot and buy one section for $14. I brought it up to Jeremiah, who said, “We do huge jobs and I’m not going to haggle over the price.” Arrogant prick.

They also planted nine shrubs in my yard and gave me a “tree care guide” that read like it guaranteed the plants for one year. Well, eight are now dead and I was told “We haven’t offered warranties for years”. It turns out the tree care guide with the warranty is from Pine Lane Nursery, not Aspenwood, so read all the fine print if you decide to use them. Pine Lane doesn’t honor the warranty if Apsenwood does the planting so go with the nursery to make sure you’re covered.

Bottom line, look elsewhere.
