Pork bao and shrimp balls were very good, as were the wings. Cucumber salad was underwhelming. Portions were tiny so there weren't a lot of sharing opportunities with our group of four. Inside atmosphere where we were sitting was closet like, with a refrigerator next to us. Beers were cold and service was good, but they told us we had to leave because there was someone waiting on our table. We weren't there that long so not at all happy with getting kicked out.

The good: Our waitress, a young girl with dark hair and clear plastic frames, was stellar. Attentive, friendly, helpful with suggestions...a perfect example of hospitality.

The fried cauliflower and braised pork "bao buns" were delicious. They were far from traditional, but fusion cuisine is fun when done right! The flavors were nuanced and the quality of the food was apparent, so props to the chef.

The bad: The lack of hospitality from the owner(?), a blonde woman with shorter hair, was appalling. I was dining with my family in the outdoor patio area, and we had moved the table and chairs back about 10" to keep the sun out of our eyes. After loudly conversing with a table near us, she walked up to us and said "well, it looks like *someone* was busy moving. You need to be careful and not put the chair legs in the gravel next time." Before walking away. Uh...nice to meet you too.

The final nail in the coffin was the price to portion ratio. I have family in the food and hospitality industry, and am fully aware of how expensive things are right now (especially when you pay your staff a living wage!!) but the value was completely absent from our experience. I know things can be expensive along the Central Coast, especially in wine towns like Los Alamos and Los Olivos, but there are a number of spots where you get so much more for your money that don't sacrifice on flavor and quality.

In short: $12 for 3 cream cheese rangoons and an owner/hostess who epitomizes Santa Barbara snobbery. I'll keep my money in the future, but all the best to a hard-working wait and kitchen staff.

This is a beer place attached to the wine place. Great beer selection, including a beer wine hybrid I've never seen or heard of before. The food is great, too. Tacos with fresh, hand made tortillas, best tacos I've had in some time.

The best thing about Babi's is that they're unafraid to be a beer garden in a wine-tasting world. It's right on the main drag in Los Alamos, surrounded by tasting rooms and tiny winemakers within walking distance. Babi's is connected to Casa Dumetz next door, and they're pouring Casa Dumetz wine (at least during COVID) which makes this a great choice for mixed groups of wine/beer drinkers. But we came for the beer, and were stoked to find several sours and tart ales (our faves)! Order from their menu or browse their case and choose whatever cans look appealing. They stocked some familiar breweries (we tried some beers we'd never had from Grimm and Mikkeller), and others that were new to us and great CA craft finds (like Arrow Lodge in Covina). If you find something you like, it's as easy as buying it right then and there. Great, spacious patio for hanging out and sipping the day away, or make time for a drink (or two) before strolling down to the street to dinner!

The atmosphere was great- we enjoyed drinking beer over a game of scrabble (as well as an extensive assortment of other games available). However, a bit disappointed in the lack of selection of beers available on draft. Definitely expecting a larger selection and ended up choosing two cans from the fridge (both were good).

Am here now (10/4/20) and am totally impressed with the service, the food is great. Beer and wine we ordered is great and the menu is impressive for food, wine and especially the beer. Try this place when you visit Los Alamos, you won't regret it.
