If you ever wanted to get a well prepared used boat and not pay full retail for a new one, go see Boat Deal. These guys are the best in the business. They stand behind their boats and service the heck out of you. They are equipped to handle almost anything that will be needed or wanted for your boat. They value of their products and service (especially) are top notch.

Found a boat that had a few issues that these people said they would take care of. We gave them a $500 deposit to purchase the boat. Received a call from them telling us that several of the issue could not be fixed, or their mechanic didn't want to attempt a repair. We decided not to purchase the boat and requested a return of our deposit. They refused the return of the deposit because none of the promised fixes were written on our receipt.
Lesson learned!!

PLEASE READ FULLY. AND OH THE OWNER MICHAEL GUNTER GAVE HIMSELF 5 STARS If I could leave a negative stars I would. I took my boat down to them the end of May 2020.I was trying to support local business as they are right around the corner from us. We had the lower unit all apart for them. I was told they couldn't get it in for 2 weeks. I said as long as we had it back for the 4th of July weekend we didn't care. We asked them to make sure as long as it was apart to make sure the water pump was good. And if it needed a new one to replace it. So after the end of the 3rd week, We went down to Boat Deals and Jay said it was being brought up from there storage area which is a parking lot behind the Brewerton Fort on 11. At the end of that week we stopped again and he said it would be there that night so they could work on it first thing in morning. Well on July 3rd at 4:45 we went up and they were having a hard time trying to get the lower unit off and about 5;30pm said ok it's a holiday weekend go home and deal with it on Monday. My husband told them how to get it off. The next Monday they didn't touch it. Tuesday afternoon my husband went up and then came home to make 2 wooden wedges to get it off and then he had to take it off him self Keep in mind We told them several times about this issue. But again no one listened.We had already put a new starter and coil and other parts on it. So we get our boat back on July 8th. After paying them almost 900.00. We took our boat out on July 9th for her first time out over to onieda shores. We barely got away from the docks and our boat was smoking and immediately turned it around and made sure there was no fire. We loaded up took it right back to Boat Deals. After the first week of being told that it had no spark and maybe the new starter was bad. They did get us a new starter because it didn't cost them anything. We then spent that weekend tracing every wire on that boat. We could not find anything burnt or melted at all. They did put an electronic ignition at the price of 164.00 dollars on it. Then they tried several used coils and we even thought it could be the shift interrupted switch. Still no spark and no reason why. After another week we came down and there mechanic said he retraced every wire on the boat we knew that was a complete lie. We used white electrical tape with black zip ties. We were told by Jay that we may need some other parts for the new electronic ignition to work. We brought it home took out the electronic ignition and went back to points system. We took it to Ess Kay Marina. By later that afternoon they had already found out the issues. 1 was the other mechanic did not have the negative coil wire to distibutorhooked up right. Ran it on a hose over heated. Drained gear lube. Found 2 Orings should only be 1. Hear is the biggest mistake of all. Found the water pickup tube installed incorrectly was laying inside of lower unit. This is why my boat over heated. Also they didn't run it much as the pink colored winterized fluid was still coming out and also they should have noticed by how the water was coming out that it was wrong. WE did not tell Ess Kay that boat deals worked on it till after we played the bill. Took them a day in half to fix my boat where boat deals had months

Last summer we decided to look for a new family boat. The guys at Boat Deal were great to work with or so it seemed. I didn't know anything about jet boats so I took their word for everything...BIG MISTAKE!! The throttle handles are not supposed to flop back to idle (it's not a safety feature), they were out of adjustment. The engine revving to half throttle is not a protection, the tachs are the wrong ones and the carburetor is messed up which is why the engine revs at full throttle on its own. It idles right in the water, but dumps fuel all over (this was conveniently wiped up). Oh, the stereo works...one track on a stuck cd only. Found a hose unhooked in the transom which is why there was 3 inches of water in the ski locker after an hour on the lake. The lake test couldn't have happened or they would have found this, or the lake test did happen and they decided not to say anything. The cleanout plugs were not in which seemed odd to me after a "lake test". I (a body builder) could not physically get them in without lubrication...again, no lake test. The "cleaned up oxidation" was back as soon as the boat dried on the way home. I have since fixed all the things that Boat Deal is obviously incapable of fixing and now have a good boat, but lost a whole summer of lake fun with the family. Unless you know the boat you are getting, I caution anyone of using the disservices of Boat Deal. By the way, if you do put a deposit down, you will not get it back and if there is something wrong with the boat, they will not make it right!

Great place to buy a boat and we are very excited about our 2004 Pontoon we just picked up last week. Jay and the Boat Deal team was kind courteous and attentive to all your needs. Check this place out if you are in the market for a (new) used boat.

I bought a 2002 crownline with 292 hrs on it. Boat looked really nice, took it and put 12 hrs on it and I always wondered why the steering was sloppy. I did research and found out the loosening of the gimble ring is a problem with the mercruiser outdrive. it was 7 days over on their 30 day warranty. They said the part wore out in the 12hrs I had it. If you buy from them? Check the boat over thoroughly!

I wouldn't recommend this place since they don't stand by their agreements.
After agreeing to buy a boat I told Jay that I would call him back with a deposit. After calling multiple times that day to leave my deposit no one answered or called me back. The next day I stop in to make my deposit and they tell me they sold it. It would be hard to trust a place that doesn't stand by their commitment.

We bought a complete lemon; we were told the boat came from Lake Erie but after spending $6k on fixing this boat and being told it has been in the salt water... I wouldn't trust these guys EVER.

I wish I could give negative stars 🙁
