I had decided that I really needed landscape lighting. I called three companies, two big names in the area and Brighten Up. Alex was by far the most creative and he was the most passionate. We chose him, it was an easy choice. He just finished our job and WE LOVE IT! Alex did a great job and would not hesitate to recommend him. I am so glad I found him and couldn't be happier.

I stumbled upon Alex and Brighten Up Landscape Lighting while driving through town and I’m glad I did. He was quick to respond and came to my house to assess my lighting needs. He was very reasonable with his pricing (I had others price it out as well) and I liked his vision. He is one to recommend not overdoing the lighting as it is supposed to complement the landscape and highlight rather than overpower and completely turn your landscape into daylight. At the same time, he said he could always come back out to add fixtures if we decided it needed more. I really appreciated his honesty and not trying to oversell me with lighting needs. He was out a few days later to complete the job and installed everything. And then he came back out in the evening to show me the app and how everything worked. Alex came out to give me an estimate for my new home. We had been using solar lights and it was time to upgrade. He did a great job assessing what our home needed and employed the “less more“ approach. The result is beautiful and very elegant and understated.

I bought a new house in Lincoln Park that had an old lighting system. Some path lights, some burned out uplights. Alex was able to come over quickly diagnosis the issue and come back in the next week and had it all running. I didn’t have to replace the transformer and he replaced dead path lights and replace bulbs where he could.

We contacted Brighten Up to give us an estimate for bistro lighting in our newly landscaped backyard. Alex came out and gave us an estimate for the work. The estimate was priced fairly and sent in a time efficient manner. The work was scheduled to be done several months later. Alex clearly communicated when he was coming and the job looks really great. When Alex came out to do the installation, I mentioned that the back gate was giving me a problem (I was mostly just venting that it was so hard to open it with the key because it sticks). Alex fixed the gate and it no longer is problematic to get in. That is superior customer service and we really appreciated that. We are so happy that we decided to work with Brighten Up and we will be referring them to anyone who is looking for lighting to be added to their landscape.
