Ive had Carla design and implement two landscapes for me. one design in Paradise, one in Chico. Her experertise is second to none. Carla selected plants where something was in bloom all year round so there was always color in the yard. Carla also knew what plants truly werent deer resistant and guided my choices accordingly.

Carla transformed our backyard from a post pool construction mud pit into a zen haven. She spent time in the yard understanding the space, consulted and listened and listened some more, and went to work. Her passion, excitement and enthusiasm for her work resulted in a beautiful yard that is now our second home. I cannot recommend her and her nice, considerate and polite team enough.

Carla designed our front yard in Paradise, CA. And we enjoyed it all the years we lived there. She selected plants which grew nicely over the years....it didn't just look good when they were young. Unfortunately we lost that home in the fire, but she is the first person we looked up when we bought our home in Chico.
Carla and her crew brought us from weeds and bare dirt, to this. We absolutely love our new yard, and get compliments on it quite frequently !

Three years ago my house was built and landscaping was needed on all four sides. I invited Carla to design my yard and it turned out incredibly nice. She took into consideration all of my "likes" and gently encouraged me on new design ideas that truly make my yard pop. She has an eye for plant placement like no other. My landscape continues to look better as the plants grow and fill in which to me is the real testimonial to a great design. Really enjoyed working with her.

Carla creates excellent designs. She is thoughtful and creative in designing a space. My advice would be for you to pay her for the design and hire someone else to execute the design. There have been many problems with the quality of the work done (it has been 1 year) and am having to pay to have someone come and redo much of the work including irrigation system, planters, and rock work. Many plantings died because planters were filled incorrectly. We are replacing 30% of original plants because of issues. She will come back and redo things when asked, but I decided it was no longer worth the hassle because there was no improvement in quality. Like I said- it was a nice layout and plan.

I told her I wanted to plant fruit trees and landscape my yard. All she talked about was putting in a fountain on my lawn! I asked her about planting hedges like Red Tipped Fontana and she said the deer would eat it. It's deer resistance. I'm disappointed in her not caring to help me and her lack of knowledge

A vehicle with a Carla's Landscape Design logo cut off my husband on his motorcycle in Chico almost causing an accident. When he honked and pulled up beside the vehicle, the driver (Carla?) shrugged and gave him a dirty look. I would never want to have people like this person on my property.
