Stayed in the one bedroom apartment on the first floor with kitchen and bathroom. Was quite warm weather when I visited but the AC unit helped cool things down. TV in the bedroom was a bonus and could stream shows/movies from my bed. Away from the hustle and bustle of Sedona but short drive to it. I would visit Violette's Bakery Cafe nearby for delicious baked goods.

Disappointed. Clean but sorely in need of repair and refurbishing. Exterior is run down and entrance and lobby area had dead flower pots and dirty furniture. There was no one on site greet us or show us to our rooms. Check in was done via email. Interior was musty smelling. Place needed painting and carpet needs replacing. We booked two nights but left after first day.

Very cozy and comfortable...home away from home. Has everything you need to be self sufficient OR you can easily walk to a local eatery and/or brewery.

Room was nice and comfortable. Didn't realize it was a turn key operation but they were easy to contact by email and phone. Nice back deck for view and good location close to Jerome, Cottonwood & Sedona.

My husband and I spent three nights while visiting local attractions. We had originally booked a 2nd floor room, but I experienced a knee injury a couple of days before. We were able to get a first floor room at the last minute and parked right at the front door. Our apartment was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied which made meal preparation easy. The best part was that it was quiet and didn't feel like a hotel because of its quirky originality. We would definitely stay here again.

A sweet apt in a historic lodge used in the mining days. Clean. Has everything you need. A bit noisy and not much for TV viewing. However, one comes to enjoy outdoors and history. Books to borrow.

My wife and I stayed a week at the Clarkdale Lodge while visiting Sedona. The drive to Sedona is not bad at all and take about 40 minutes one way. The rooms are satisfactory and clean. Downtown Clarkdale is also worth checking out when staying.

There are positives here. We liked the location. The king bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked. All the bathroom fixtures worked well. The unit was quite clean. It was very quiet (second floor.)
There are some negatives that will keep us from staying again. There is a lot of deferred maintenance. Outside - rotting wood in the steps, overgrown trees blocking the way, dirty common areas. In our unit one pane of window glass was broken out and clear plastic wrap was (poorly) taped over it. One window A/C unit had a large gap where the window was raised for the unit. We chased a lot of moths 2 nights till we discovered it & blocked it. No toilet paper holder in the bathroom, no towel bar for bath towels (plenty of room for both of them.) The "living room" has the TV, 2 chairs and a small table between the chairs. 2 small footstools would go a long way (or a couple of recliners.) As it was, we used kitchen chairs to put our feet up but it was generally very uncomfortable after an hour. You can't see the TV from the bed so that was out. Fix the windows and spend $100 on these items - a little comfort goes a long way.
An older, dated place is fine if it's maintained properly and furnishings are comfortable. A little work is needed here.
