Very highly recommended and you will not be disappointed. Raul and his team took my large backyard from dirt, to a high end luxurious desert oasis. I interviewed 4 different landscape contractors for my project and am very glad that I went with Competition Green. They were easy to work with and had a vision for our project to get exactly what we wanted within our price range!

1. Communication and speed was number one for me. I needed someone who was responsive to my texts and calls and worked through all my questions and adjustments. Raul was professional and quick.

2. Honesty and transparency was top notch. I was looking for someone that I could work with easily without feeling like I was being “nickeled and dimed” or downgraded from my desires for the project.

3. Rauls team worked fast and efficiently. Also, there were NO problems, no work done wrong, or promises unkept. I was impressed with the quality of their work. I did not have to watch them. I was able to trust they would get the job done and they did.

4. High quality workers and products. For example with Competition Green we ordered a 2 foot tree and when it came, it was 6 feet! His plants and materials were much better than what we saw other people using.

5. Vision! Raul had a vision for our project. We knew what we wanted, but did not have enough knowledge for the details. He knows what each plant looks like and how different elements work together and in the desert environment to create something beautiful.
6. FOLLOW UP HELP! Even after the project was done, Raul has been available for our questions and adjustments. He did not disappear like so many other contractors do.

I decided on Raul via Yelp reviews. Needed 24” pavers and gravel installed in a 4.25 ft x 40ft space on my patio. The work done previous was done incorrectly – not enough dirt was removed and crushed rock sat high, causing rain water to backflow towards the patio every hard rain or rinsing of the patio due to drainage issues.

Liked that this was a smaller company. Also helpful to see that another client posted a pic of exactly what I wanted to accomplish in my space.

Raul is a great communicator. He showed up to my estimate appointment on time. His team showed up to my installation appointment on time. I was thrilled that we were off to a good start.

Honest, fair, timely and competitive pricing compared to the other 5 companies I interviewed. Didn’t overpromise on my small project or come up short on delivering me an expert finish. After removing all of the existing 2” or rock and another 4” of dirt – the team prepped the space for install. In doing the work, the team measures and levels each and every paver. Over the course of the day, when something unexpected came up – the team quickly rounded with Raul on discussing what my preferred solution would be. No assumptions made! His team worked quietly and well together and Raul checked in on-site numerous times over the course of the day to ensure there weren’t surprises on either end.

Work was executed quickly, correctly and professionally. No damage, no mess, no disappointment. Thank you Raul.

We had a challenging slope in our backyard that was not easily accessible. Raul and his team installed a ficus hedge at the top of the slope, added boulder retaining walls and a walkway in front of the hedge for easy access. They also built a beautiful natural rock stairway with a seating area at the top so we can enjoy our views. He was consistently on time and on budget. We highly recommend them.
