The owner, Bryan Shanks, severely mismanaged our retaining wall and patio project. He requested a significant down payment, several thousand dollars more than the materials, upon signing the contract. He later requested thousands more to "get his loader out of the shop" and to pay his two 'guys.' I trusted him. As I understand it now, he doesn't even have a loader. Our project has experienced significant delays - several months. There were a few rain events, but nearly all of the delays can be attributed to Mr Shanks. I won't bother listing every lie & excuse we were told; Countryside Outdoor's BBB complaints and other Google reviews say it all. I'm attempting to get some of our money back. I'm hopeful he'll make the right choice. Update: Bryan Shanks did not pay us in materials or cash as promised. He provided several more excuses and hasn’t been heard from in weeks.

Took deposit for half of the work to be done($3900) jun 2018. It is now January 24th 2019. No work has been done and Bryan Shanks, the owner, will not refund the money. His solution to make this problem go away to to block me from calling him. Never once showed up to do any of the contracted work. Never give this company or Bryan Shanks any money upfront. Severely Disappointed as we were once friends.
