Earthscapes turned our yard that was formerly an eye sore in our neighborhood to the feature of this years garden show. Also, this was the first in thirty years that our run off didn't flood the neighbors. We live at the bottom of 2 hills and across from a dirt road that turns into a small lake when it rains, so this was a major issue that Earthscapes solved with skill and great artistry. They also got rid of an invasive type of grass that we were unable to solve in spite of all our many attempts. Though there was a bit of a wait for them, they are worth the wait!

Earthscapes performed completely unreliable, unresponsive and unmotivated work to our community housing district. I had no intention of posting a review until reading their response to the previous reviewer...it is a dishonest attempt to publicly save face.

Suzanne claims they were restricted in the quality of work they could perform according to the contract, that she’s totally open to communication and implies that Earthscapes would want to improve. Here are the facts:
1. Earthscapes contract with our district was not based on hourly work. In fact, there is no mention of hourly work. The entire contract lists specific jobs and how often they are to be performed. These jobs were routinely ignored.
2. To give Earthscapes a chance at improving, we tried to contact Suzanne (phone calls and emails) numerous times over the course of a year. Not one call or email was replied to.
3. One month before the contract ended, before we decided how to proceed, Earthscapes decided they did not want to rebid our contract.

While reading Suzanne’s response to the previous reviewer, consider...Instead of taking pride in their work and being open to communication (like she claims), Earthscapes decided to leave our district looking like the pictures I have posted.

Earthscapes was in charge of maintaining our assessment district and did a TERRIBLE job. In my opinion there was no pride in their work. We paid them a lot of money for such poor performance. Often edging and weeding were not done. The grass had tons of broadleaf (obvious and big). They didn’t clean up grass on sidewalks after mowing. I would never recommend them to anyone. Don’t waste your time with this company. They have a lot of awards on their website but it definitely didn’t show in their work. Proof is in the pictures, they speak louder than words.

We have been using Earthscapes for probably at least 8-10 years! We used them when we lived in Los Osos and now at our place in SLO. They do an excellent job and are always open to my special requests. When we moved to SLO, I tried a couple of well-known landscapers here in town and was not impressed. Called Suzanne, and she came out and gave me a reasonable bid for our new house. They beat all other prices and quality! Highly recommend. My only complaint is that they are so good/busy, it's hard to get them to come out for new projects.

We have used Earthscapes three over the last few years, the first time we had them install a flagstone patio and stepping stones in our backyard, the second time we had them install a paver driveway, retaining wall, fences, and plants and an irrigation system in our front yard. Both times we found them to be very professional and easy to work with. The crew was always accommodating to our changes mid-project and were always pleasant. The projects turned out beautifully, were done on schedule and matched the budget we had worked out with them in advance. We appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves every afternoon, and didn’t play music like a lot of contractors do. We would use Earthscapes again, and recommend them very highly.

Earthscapes did an excellent job of landscaping our Los Osos home. Their design creativity & knowledge of local plants & conditions have resulted in many compliments from our neighbors, friends & relatives.
They also maintain & monitor our yard on an ongoing basis, giving us peace of mind. Their work on the LOVR & So. Bay Dr. median shows their dedication to our community.

Earthscapes did a complete overhaul of our backyard - massive dirt removal, regrading of the yard, building new retaining walls and planters and laying pavers. Everything was really efficient and done quickly and professionally. From start to finish Earthscapes worked with us to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted and we are very pleased with the results. We would highly recommend Earthscapes!
