Terrible place to receive lawn care, he hires inexperienced people all the time and they never stay long enough to get good. Also a terrible place to work, he gave a drug addict (meth) several raises who hadn’t even been there a year (not even that skilled at lawn care btw) and only bumped my pay 50 cents after I had been there a year and missed less work than the drug addict. He’s lost several accounts due to his rude demeanor and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

This company did a poor job grading and developing the lawn for our new home. Instead of placing the correct slope for our backyard to drain, they dug a trench through the backyard that was higher on both ends. It filled up like a pond after the first rain (see picture). The team came back out to fix this issue, but it is still lower and doesn't drain well. The water also flows up against the back of our home in a lot of spots due to incorrect grade. Thankfully we had gutters installed to help spread the water away from the back and it has reduced this issue.

Also, half of the sod and both of the trees they planted were severely stressed from the heat before being planted (see picture comparing 1st half vs. 2nd half). I'm still not sure if the trees are going to make it.

On a positive note, the team doing the job were very hard workers and extremely nice people. They created a great retaining wall and did great work on others portions of the lawn and landscaping.

Full disclosure: I did not pay for this company's services, but they were included and took place after I purchased a new home. I got to witness the work be completed and have a good understanding of the product they provide.

Excellent company! I’ve used them for over 15 years, I have always been extremely happy. Superior designs, great installation, and and excellent maintenance. They take care of my sprinkler system, installed retaining walls, and French drains for me. Leaf removal, annual color and even Christmas lights-they have done anything I’ve ever needed!! Super nice, honest, dependable people. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Unacceptable!!! It has been 9 weeks since they put irrigation in at our new home. My husband has called every week asking them to come fill in the trenches that never got taken care of. Every time he calls they promise to come the next day or within a couple days and have yet to do so. He has even talked to the owner, who is EXTREMELY rude, and still nothing. The owner blames an employee and the employee blames the owner….no one take responsibility! Very poor customer service. I would not recommend Ellis Landscaping to anyone who’s looking for good work. We are having to get another company to come finish what they started.

I’ve been through 3 yard services in the past 4 months...I should’ve hired Ellis Landscaping the first time and saved the trouble!! My landscape looks amazing. The grass was cut to perfection in a cross pattern. We now have the best yard on the block, if not in the entire town. Their attention to detail is second to none. Ellis Landscaping is who you call when you want it done right the first time.
