First time trying this place today. The restaurant is operated as a walk-up/call-in only right now. The doorway is barricaded from the outside with a table and there are many things taped to the windows. You will need to call the restaurant to order and call the restaurant when you are there to pick up your order.

I ordered the Black Pepper Chicken combo plate which came with generous portions and included an egg roll. My total was $10.84. This black pepper chicken has no sauce. It is just diced, seasoned, and fried. The fried rice here is pork fried rice by default. The fried rice was very yellow and had ample veggies and definitely not greasy. The egg roll was crunchy and delicious with a fresh cabbage flavor but I am unsure if it had meat.

Overall, my food was good; I would eat here again but I wouldn't drive out of my way. This reminds me of the typical American Chinese buffet food. I do plan to try other dishes from here.

UPDATE: Added a star to make 4 instead of three because after 3 different dishes, this place is better than just 'average'.

September 29 I ordered general Tso's chicken, extra spicy and I asked to substitute shrimp fried rice instead of pork fried rice. My total was $14.14. It came with an egg roll. Everything was fresh and hot. There were five shrimp in my rice. Not as spicy as I had hoped but I understand that I have a high heat tolerance.

October 13 I ordered sesame chicken lunch special. I asked for shrimp fried rice. My total was $11.61. It did not come with an egg roll. My food was hot and fresh and there were 4 shrimp on top my fried rice. The sesame chicken was definitely not one dimensional and I appreciated the fact that it didn't have a weird artificial red color. No strange ketchup taste and the right amount of sauce to make it not dry. Tasty.

In all visits the fried rice has been freshly cooked, not dried out reheated mess and it has not been greasy. They do good here. I just have to figure out the pricing bit.

I had a disappointing experience with Family Garden Chinese Restaurant. When I called to place an order, the staff was surprisingly rude and unhelpful. I asked for my total over the phone, but they outright refused to provide it. To make matters worse, they wouldn't let me use my tap pay when I arrived. This lack of basic customer service made me feel undervalued, they are overpriced and I won’t be returning.

I love this place and I love the people that run it. We eat there every couple of weeks and the quality is great especially for the price. I hope these folks stay in business for many years to come.

This is our third time eating here and it is our last. I got the pepper chicken combo and my husband got the beef and broccoli combo and we got fried dumplings to share.
The pepper chicken was dry and way too salty. It was like eating chicken jerky. The rice was just ok. Best part was the onions, only thing with any flavor. My portion size wasn't bad. However, I cannot say the same for the beef and broccoli. My husband had very little. Most of the entree side was rice. His food had no flavor. The dumplings were ok. Not the best but not the worst. Biggest issue was the lack of flavor for the majority of the food. Same issue we had before. The pepper chicken was just too dry and salty otherwise would have probably been good and a healthier version of this dish.
Overall, not worth the money or time

The food is great in my opinion I loved it it was good and hot lady at the front register doesn’t seem that very well with customer service. They have way to much stuff cluttered in there restaurant I feel like they need to upgrade a little bit and put tables and chairs in there.

Happy to find another good Chinese food option closer to home. The food is delicious, and this was my second time ordering, so far, very tasty. Service is attentive and friendly, during call-in and in person. So far we’ve tried sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, the house lo mein, and the house mai fun— all more than satisfying. Portions are good, in my opinion, and prices seem fair. Overall, very pleasant experience so far.

This Chinese restaurant is run by a wonderful family and provides the best Chinese food in the whole state. I recommend the Tofu in Garlic Sauce. I promise you wont regret trying something new and it will become your favorite meal, and its healthy! Support this beautiful family and our local community by stopping by for a delicious meal. Also, a little secret, ask for the Yogurt doughnuts, you'll be addicted!! P.S, Leave a nice tip because they're working so hard!

The food was really good. Only restaurant I've ever gone to where you can buy lingerie, yoyos, pencils, Pokémon cards, camping light, ear buds, key chains, mask and so much more to take back home with you to enjoy your evening with your family. Highly recommend ?
