I hired this landscaping company to install aluminum edging around my house, they stated "It would stay in the ground compared to plastic edging", so I decided to go with it................well as you can see in the pictures its not staying in the ground and you can see the rocks underneath the edging. I asked the owner, Kevin, to have his crew come back and fix the issue, he said at first he would but that I had to move the rock back away from the edging, so I did. I let him know that the rock was moved back then I get an email from him stating his crew would not be coming back and that if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay $650 dollars. WHAT? That's what I paid this company to do, install the edging!!!So your landscapers didn't do the job correctly the first time and your not going to come out and fix it? STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! TERRIBLE WORK AND THEY WONT COME BACK TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES!!!

Kevin and his team helped me completely redesign my landscaping. They had great ideas, and the project turned out beautiful! They worked quickly, and left everything completely cleaned up. I am so very happy with the transformation from old 20 year old bushes, to a new retailing wall and beautiful flowering bushes. I highly recommend From The Ground Up Landscaping, and look forward to my next project with them.

FTGU was fantastic to work with on our large courtyard project at our church. They worked with us from conception to completion, always working within our budget and around our building event schedule. The site was always clean at the end of the day, a difficult feat due to the proximity of the work area. They were responsive to questions/changes and even came in UNDER budget after finding ways to trim costs. Even with weather delays, the project was completed within our timeframe. Have used before and will again. Highly recommend!

Our family endorses From the Ground Up Landscaping company after the completion of a five hundred square foot brick paver patio at our Mt. Zion, IL address in July, 2019.
Here are our observations.
1. The completed design was exactly as it was laid out in the initial visit.
2. The price for the completed project did not vary from the original estimate.
3. The outcome was outstanding. The professionalism of the work surprised and delighted us.
4. The project was completed on time, in a rapid time frame of six working days including a four day bout of heat-wave temperatures and near tropical dew point.
5. The reliability and dedication of the crew was outstanding and the individuals were friendly and engaging. Their teamwork pushed the project to completion.
6. Owner/manager Kevin McSherry toured us through the Illinois Brick Company site in Decatur, IL before the start of the project to consider a wide selection of paver choices.
7. The crew was qualified, proficient, and experienced in the layout, prep, and execution.
8. The wide stone and brick steps leading from the back door (slider) onto the paver patio are eye-catching and excellently designed.
9. Other design choices led to a delightful double red brick border outlining the patio.
10. Our disappointments are at Zero. Our satisfaction pins the needle at great.

We recommend From the Ground Up Landscaping of Decatur for anyone wanting landscaping or professional patio or deck building. Our experience was excellent. We felt out money was well spent with this company.
