Gary rebuilt a marine engine for me three months ago. His partner Kevin Brady who runs Direct Connection Marine at 4549 Saint Augustine Rd. was the one who took the engine off my boat and re-installed it after Mr. Johns rebuilt it. 35Hrs after the rebuilt, the engine started leaking oil from the main seal. Contacted his partner Kevin Brady who said call Gary about it. Spoke to Mr. Johns and he said he doesn't work on boat engines still in the boat and suggest call Kevin. Mr. Brady has pulled a disappearing act. Spent over $3,000 with these crooks. I will be filing in small claims court today. Please DO NOT allow yourself to get caught up with any of these two folks. Take your car or boat to somebody else! BTW? Gary Johns Automotive is in Callahan, FL

They line honed, reassembled, and dyno'd my 1971 340 when they were still in Jacksonville, autumn of 2013. I run it about 5,000 miles and make 3-10 passes at the track every year. It's been a solid and dependable rebuild. Couldn't be happier, 7 years later!!! Thank you folks

I had a similar experience as Heather. Motor was rebuilt and then started to leak from the rear main immediately. Disappearing act occurred and no one will answer their phones. Now I have a bilge full of oil and no one to fix the engine. Beware......
