Very knowledgeable local business. If you need a natural water element (tiered fountain or pond) put in, they would be my go-to. Mark Gibson has been doing waterworks for 30+ years and really knows his stuff, including how to fix common problems. They do maintenance as well as new installation. They know their trade.
The business location offers water plants and fish adapted to the area. Just a heads up, they only offer koi and goldfish because they will survive Arkansas winters.
On a side note, if you are homeschooling, this is an amazing place to get frog eggs and /or tadpoles in early spring if you are going to be learning about amphibians. Also, it is kind of a cool place to just visit. They have fish feed for $0.25, which was fun for my kids.

This is a wonderful family business! Mark Gibson And Marlena Murphy's parents started Green Thumb many years ago. Mark and Marlena have carried on with the family business. Great for all your pond needs. Beautiful plants and various koi and other goldfish. The pond designs they design and create are Top notch! However. I have heard many complaints from friends. The blonde, Katie, has no customer service skills, has ran off many employees and creates a very hostile environment to work in. She has been extremely rude to many customers and myself. After reading the reviews, two responses from Green Thumb were appalling (attached). The response to Brianna Parks was extremely rude and written by Katie Gibson. Katie should be ashamed. I have no idea why she's working there. I suggest you talk to anyone but Katie. As for the other rude reply, who knows who wrote that. This is not how you run a business.

A day later, Green Thumb replied to my review with various lies. My response is:

I was not the one that decided to contact the fisheries pathologist. Your fish were sick and you were not properly permitted as a fish dealer for Years. My father has nothing to do with this, actually he wasn't impressed with the lack of servicing his pond. Lol, I'm not disgruntled but having to work in a highly volatile work environment,  caused by Katie, made me and Many other employees leave on our own will. Every employee is highly aware of this issue, including the owners. I have had pure joy not dealing with Katie since 2022. Meetings were held regarding her vile behavior, that i attended. Nothing was resolved, so i left. Since Mark says he creates all review comments, he treated his sister HORRIBLY, but it's obvious he did not make that comment, bc his sister is Not his Aunt.

I called in before driving an hour to see if they had any plants in stock that would be good for a duck pond. Plants that wouldn’t kill my ducks essentially the woman on the phone sounded confused with my question then said she doesn’t think they do? How can a pond store not carry any plants that would do well in a pond with ducks? I guess I’ll just have to take the chance and make the drive sometime to find out myself but really unhelpful for someone making such a long drive.

Response to owner: Real odd to shame me when this is a review of an experience a customer had. That’s poor ownership. As a new customer asking for the owner to ask a simple question isn’t something I should have to do? Or know that as being the step needed when calling a business.I’m not a Karen I’m not asking for the manager immediately. The job of the receptionist is to seek assistance if they do not know the answer, especially as a family member? Pretty gross you would suggest I don’t respect elders this is just a real review of a business and my encounter as a long distance potential customer contacting business professionally. When a customer calls in asking for something they shouldn’t be later harassed for having a poor experience.

Love this place! The staff/ owners are very knowledgeable and will share their knowledge with anyone who cares to ask and listen. Very friendly, prices are reasonable. They also have a very pretty view and landscaping. Nice selection of kio and fancy goldfish.

Mark is very knowledgeable and helpful on taking care of backyard ponds. He answered all my questions as a newbie and gave me pointers. They have everything you need for an aquarium or backyard pond. It's a 45 minute drive for us but well worth it.
