Beautiful shop, even in winter. Helpful staff that's always willing to find what I need. They even made me a small decoration once on the spot to meet my needs. Knowledgeable about plants and makes it worth shopping local!

One of the best options for Japanese Maples and Large trees that we have found. We've bought 5 trees from them and will buy more. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are better than most other nurseries in the area. They are about 30% cheaper than nurseries in Champaign area.

I have been going to Growing Grounds for many years, especially in the Spring and early Summer to get plants and soil and sometimes even some sculptures for the garden. I was more than a little disappointed by what happened this past time I went there. Several of the people who are employees were walking around without any masks and they were not respecting social distancing. Not only that, but they were allowing customers to walk around indoors without masks on. Growing Grounds is not exempt from state mandate for wearing masks. Neither are they exempt from social distancing requirements. They are also not exempt from requiring that customers in stores wear masks. Their irresponsible behavior puts people at risk of contracting a virus that can kill. They don't seem to care. Some of the employees were wearing masks, and they were attempting to maintain social distancing. That does not, however, make it okay when there are employees who are deliberately, knowingly, and quite willfully violating state mandates. Aside from that, their inventory was actually quite low. I wanted to buy tomato plants and tomato cages. They were selling the plants, but they explained to me that they wouldn't be putting out tomato cages for several weeks. They also had a very limited selection of flowering plants for the season, and their selection of other types of plants was quite thin. I won't be going back to Growing Grounds anymore. The lack of concern for the safety of their customers and their employees who are trying to act responsibly indicates to me that they don't need my business.

WOW, incredible selection. Went in specifically for a saddle bouquet for a headstone. Picked out one of the pre made ones, but it wasnt quite large enough for what we were wanting. The gentleman inside dolled it up some more for us. The ladies at the check out counter were incredibly friendly! Outstanding service, outstanding selection!

They have so many plants and everything is well kept. You can spend a good amount of time just walking through. They have a very nice indoor plant area as well.

One of my favorite places. I ordered flowers for my wife and wow, I won’t be ordering flowers from anywhere else from now on. They are huge and beautiful. Thank you for always having quality products and everyone being so nice!!!!!
