Just happened upon this gem. The man on staff was very nice and helpful. The plants looked very happy and healthy. The prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back. Love buying local when I can. Highly recommend. Definitely a five star experience. Great selection 👌 👏 👍

I was finishing up a pool. I called here to get a quote on reworking my back yard and sprinklers. They never called back. How about next time you call the customer back and tell them you can’t take on a job instead of ghosting them.

We hired Hickory Creek to help us design and install new landscaping for our front and backyard. Jessica came and assessed our yard, and listened to our requests and designed a rendering that presented a vision for our space. She selected plants and materials based on our preferences. She was very easy to communicate with and stuck to our budget. When it was time for installation, Troy, Adam & Danny showed up on time and were very professional. We got new sod installed, and realized how important it was to have irrigation professionals on hand to make sure all of our sprinklers were functional. We couldn’t be more pleased with the finished result. It’s like we have a whole new yard to enjoy. We would 100% recommend Hickory Creek to anyone needing plants or landscaping assistance.

I have bought several beautiful heavy producing citrus trees from here! Each time they have been really reasonably priced. The trees are much better quality then any other nursery I’ve seen in Jacksonville and the lowest price as well. I just purchased a tangerine tree two days ago!

This place is amazing! One of if not the best nursery in northeast florida. I came in with a photo of my flowerbeds and asked for some help and gave the lady a price range. She suggested some plants and walked me all around the property to look at them. The pricing was excellent too! She was very helpful and would highly recommend!

Last month we came to purchase a mulberry tree. We got the tree and it was a great deal and still doing well. However on that same day an employee there recommended a grapefruit tree to us that we had been looking at. He said it was a tree from last season, nothing was wrong with it, it just didn’t sell. It even had fruit on it already! He offered it to us for $30. We were very excited and bought it and planted same day. The next day we noticed a bunch of leaves were turning black. We took pictures and emailed them (they were closed on this day) to ask if this is anything to be concerned about. The response we received was “we don’t know. Call UF agriculture and ask them.”

Turns out the tree was severely infected with a fungus that is extremely dangerous to citrus trees and very contagious. We have an orange tee and a loquat tree and had to treat those to make sure they didn’t get sick, treat the neighbors trees that are close by, and throw away the grapefruit tree.

The infection was progressed far enough that it had been infected well before we purchased it and could have infected all their other plants in that area, but they stopped answering our emails and wouldn’t give us any info.

What a ridiculous experience with them. I'm looking for blood orange trees. I send an email being as I don't live that close, girl says she will order in the next few days. How many and what size? Two days later (went into another email I don't check much) then she comes back and says sorry she already ordered the order. Now she knew a customer was looking for something she needed to order. Would you not just put SOME IN THE ORDER? No. But explained the shipping companies policies... I will never attempt to get plants from them again. You are a nursery but won't order things someone is looking for, not even to have them in stock bc you KNEW a customer was looking for some?

I've been searching for a particular type of bush to build a hedge & couldn't find it anywhere. At Hickory Creek, they had several different types of what I wanted all in beautiful condition. Lindsey drove me all over their compound & I picked out exactly what I wanted. She's so friendly & extremely knowledgeable! This place is a hidden gem with so much more than you'll find at those big box hardware stores! Thank you for your great customer service!
