Hills Landscaping recently finished our lovely front yard.

We decided to hire Hills Landscaping based on their positive reviews and reasonable prices. Initially, we didn’t know what to expect due to previous bad experiences with other contractors. However, when Antonio visited for the second time, all our questions were answered, some minor earlier miscommunication was resolved, and we were ready to proceed.

Throughout the project, everything went smoothly. Antonio and his team were professional, flexible, and easy to communicate with. We made some changes during the project, and Antonio made it hassle-free for us. Leo and Eduardo did an outstanding job transforming our front yard.

We also received valuable assistance from their designer, Nop, regarding plant placement. Although we didn’t use their designer for the entire project, their input was helpful.

Antonio’s experience and recommendations were invaluable. For instance, he suggested adding a dark dirt cover to an unfinished part of the yard without charging us. Unlike some other contractors, Antonio doesn’t nickel-and-dime clients when changes are needed. His attention to detail truly made a difference in our landscaping project.

Antonio and the entire Hills Landscaping team, thank you! Working with you was a pleasure. You made it stress-free, and transformed our front yard into one of the nicest in the neighborhood. Your customer-focused approach is truly appreciated. Unlike some contractors who prioritize profits over quality work, you truly stand out. Keep up the great work!

Incredible experience working with Hills!!! Our before and after pictures are attached.

They completely transformed our backyard, front yard, and city trees area to an oasis that we enjoy using everyday. They did pavers, a paver wall, stepping stones, a custom arch, planting, placed boulders, lights, drip lines/rainwater features, and more. All together, demolished the preexisting mess of our fixer upper yard and remodeled the front yard, back yard, side yards, and city strips. Antonio made sure to oversee the project, communicate with us, and fix any issues that occurred which can occur with any contractor project. Antonio also made favorable changes and suggestions to landscape design we acquired before Hills. This included optimizing backyard space for entertainment / seating as well as adding an amazing rock river and hill I can't imagine not having now that it has been completed. They also suggested and added a rock to our front yard that really completes the look.

A lead, Alberto, was also great on the job and really helped the project come together. Also, the main office is very responsive and helpful in communicating with us and the team.

When our window company miscommunicated with Hills regarding heights needed for permits on our back door landing they wanted to hire someone else to fix the work. We refused the window company's suggestion and asked Hills to make the changes / communicate with the window company to pass inspection. We did not trust anyone else for the project and are happy they completed the work.

Excellent warranty as they will fix any pavers / work. Due to shifting soil common in the bay we will all need pavers to be adjusted over the years so this is great. They will also replace any cracks in pavers overtime.

The majority of the work was completed about a year ago and everything still looks great! I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to complete any backyard remodel after we used them for all soft and hardscape. A couple people in our neighborhood have already told us they are using this company after seeing our yard.

I am extremely pleased with the work that Hills Landscaping did on our outside yard project. First, they were very responsive and easy to communicate with, both the onsite team as well as the office staff. Second, they were extremely efficient. The entire project started and ended on time, even though I had them do additional work. Third, the quality of the work was superb. Fourth, they were able to make proactive recommendations and gave us multiple options to choose from. They were able to correct pre-existing problems as well. We recently hired Hills Landscaping to transform our front yard, sidewalks and build a new fence, and overall, we're very pleased with the results. They created an eco-friendly landscape that perfectly meets our needs, featuring a beautiful curved area with drought-tolerant Kurapia ground cover, surrounded by small gravels, ornamental plants and shrubs.

They also did a fantastic job redoing our sidewalks with landscape fabric and white gravels, which not only look great but also minimize weed growth and discourage littering. The new fence—crafted from horizontal wood with vertical metal posts—adds a modern touch to our home.

Throughout the project, the team was punctual, responsive, and mindful of our budget, with no hidden fees or surprises. They even cleared away some dry branches and leaves on the sidewalk at no extra cost.

One thing we also appreciated was the hands-on approach of the manager, Antonio. He visited the project site multiple times throughout the process to ensure everything was going smoothly and even conducted a final walkthrough before closing the project, making sure we were completely satisfied with the results.

There was a tiny hiccup during the project where some of our existing plants were accidentally cut down. Hills Landscaping handled the situation professionally by offering a discount on the new plants, which we appreciated. For future customers, it might be helpful to clearly mark or discuss which plants or areas should be preserved to avoid any misunderstandings.

Overall, we're very satisfied with Hills Landscaping's work and highly recommend them for their quality craftsmanship and commitment to customer satisfaction!

Highly recommend Antonio and his team. The quote was fair and the work was top notch. They installed two retaining walls and decomposed granite, as well as plants and drip system. Communication was quick and clear from the office and the workers are super respectful and clean cut. After the work was done and the bill was paid, we had a few small concerns and Hills returned to help us out, which we feel says a lot. Antonio and his team go above and beyond.

I found this company from yelp and compared it with multiple quotes and decided to work with Hills landscaping. Here are the pros and cons and why you need to consider this company.

Pros :
1. Contract: I heard many landscaping projects are hard due to lack of contract and payment issues. When I got the first quote from Hills landscaping, they provide 6 pages of quotes, contract details including warranty, payment plan, etc. It has all the details in the contract and both need to sign to start the project so it can protect the company and myself.

2. Payment: this company provides a payment plan with 5-7 payments. Also, I pay when one of the work is finished. No need to worry about any payment plan.

3. Diligent: They start work from the first day we contract and every day they worked except when it is rain and material was not available. They contact me every day in the morning when they cannot work due to rain or material issues so I do not need to worry about they are working or not.

4. Professional: All the workers are professional and knowledgeable so when I ask any worker about the process, material, I can get the answer. I asked for some modification and it is always considered during the project and I love the final landscaping that we have.

5. Communications: From the quote request to the final walkthrough, I communicate with Hills landscaping with 90 emails, more than 15 times call. Most of the time, I can get the answer in a few hours and not any case over the one day to get the response. They even contact me on weekends so I was impressed with their communication.

6. Quality: We love the new paving, fence, retaining wall, putting green!. See the result in the attached photos.

7. Antonio!! : Antonio and Fermin are a great team to make our project.

Cons :
1. Only I had a problem was the schedule when we can start. They are super busy so they asked me to wait 2 months but luckily we can start work early. I think it is like the famous restaurants that you need to wait in line to have good service and good food. Plan it early and get the quote and schedule with this company!
