We are very unhappy with Illini Landscape, they didnt finish our job either... They did a deck for us and it is loose and there are several spindles that are bowed and uneven. The staircase is shaky and unstable. We had led lighting installed on the steps and the electrical cable was never buried. The little things that would have made this project a good experience were not done. There are metal caps on the posts of the deck that were never glued or secured down. We were going to hire them to landscape our whole back yard and close in our porch that is attached to the deck but decided to pay another company to finish it. The company we hired actually answers the phone and listens to our concerns. We are going to spend about 12,000 dollars on our home that Illini would have gotten if they had treated us well on this initial project. Obviously, they don't need our money so we don't mind giving it to a company who does need it or at least cares about their customers. I will not refer any of my neighbors or friends to this company to be disappointed.

We will probably not hire this company again. They put in our new patio, which looks nice enough. Except they didn't finish the job. They have completely blown us off with finishing it up. They left us with several areas in the patio that didn't have any sand put in between the pavers. They promised to come back in 30 days to finish those, as well as refill any other areas that had settled in during that time. Well, 30 days has long come and gone. I have sent several emails and they can't even bother to reply. (And e-mail was our main method of communication with them before.) Also, although it isn't as big of a deal, when we first talked to them at our house in mid-March, they said it was "good we caught them so early in the season because they would be able to start our job in just a couple weeks." They received our signed contract on March 21. They didn't start the job until 6 weeks later.
