The was an abundance of plant stock, it was not in good shape at all. It made you wonder if the place was going out of business. The owner walked right past us in the greenhouse without even acknowledging us or offering any assistance. We were the only customers there. None of the stock is priced. When I asked about the price on an orchid, the reponse was they start at $100. Again no offer to assist us in selecting a plant. We drove 90 minutes there with the intent to buy stock for a new project we’re planning. No need to return there ever.

Okay I just want to say first off, all of the orchids they had here were gorgeous, but unfortunately the one I bought seems to have been neglected, although it was in bloom when I bought it. Recently I tried to repot it and found out that has been severely root bound for a few years considering the roots are pouring out of the pot. I do understand that orchids like to be snug in the pot but this orchid's roots are strangling itself. The sphagnum moss also was very broken down like it had not been changed for a while. And not to mention when I came here the owner was rude because it was raining and she did not "want to get wet". Very knowledgeable I can attest but my experience was underwhelming.

The series of greenhouses are owned by a lovely elderly couple who have been growing orchids for over 35 years. They are extremely knowledgeable about the various types, how to care for them, their origin, how old they are, etc.

I recommend pairing a visit with a stop by the nearby Orange Groves.

The flowers may be a little more pricey than store-bought orchids, but you're paying to support the local farmers that helped settle Naples before it became the bustling city it is now (vs imported orchids from Southeast Asia).
