Angel was delivery man who delivered my sod. He did a wonderful job. Unfortunately he got stuck on my soggy ground. My son was able to assist with getting the machine out. That was no fault of his own. He was very respectful and polite. He did good work... You should keep him.

I want to make everyone aware of the services that I’ve received from this company was HORRIBLE. I pretty much just donated hundreds of dollars to them to deliver me NOTHING MORE BUT TRASH.
I purchased This Bahia grass from this company and had it delivered. Paid extra for it to be delivered to the back of my house which was delivered to the front. As you can see the sod that was delivered on April 20th was already looking like hay. I didn’t know anything about Sod and got it before my husband returned home.
I hired a guy that’s experienced with laying Sod down on April 21st and he advised me that the sod was extremely damaged and possibly wouldn’t catch or grow. But with proper watering and fertilizer it’ll possibly come back to life.
My husband called this company on Monday April 24th to discuss why was this damaged sod delivered. The company promised that the sod needs fertilizer that they offer. My husband went to get the fertilizer and it was sprinkled on the sod. With instructions from this company and fertilizing the sod here we are May 05 and this sod is completely dried out and dead.
Please people DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IF YOU DO PLEASE GO LOOK AT THE SOD AND PICK IT UP IF IT LOOKS GOOD TO YOU. THIS company will deliver you sod that THEY KNOW IS TRASH and knowing it should be thrown out instead they are still selling the sod. I will write this review on every site that I can and in every group in Lake County and surrounding counties and cities. Until they correct their poor customer service.

*Update*The owner himself replaced the sod and provided superior customer service.

Terrible customer service, terrible sod. We purchased a pallet of Bahia sod. Only about half of the pallet was usable. Sod was crumbling in our hands when trying to pick it up. Called the next morning to see if we could get a refund or exchange. They said no and that this sod is "hit or miss." Do not recommend at all.

Purchased a pallet of St. Augustine sod and it was delivered within 24 hours. The sod pieces seem to include much more soil than leading box stores which helped roots take much faster. Highly recommended.

Do not be deceived by the Five Star reviews. Pay attention to the details. Before you read this review, keep three things in mind:
1. Most people leave only negative reviews; I leave both positive and negative.
2. The outcome of a company's delivery to offer excellent customer service is a reflection of upper management involved on the people doing the actual work.
3. One individual homeowners' praise or complaint cannot be compared to multiple homeowners doing the same, I'm speaking on behalf of multiple homeowners.

In a nutshell:
This company has sent a crew to lay sod on a couple of properties and also to fix a separated and uneven sod issue on my property and on my neighbor's property as well. (Many homeowners are experiencing the same, but they don't have the time nor the energy or they simply don't care to report issues)

After noticing the discrepancies on my sod and observing workers doing their job on different properties on my same street. I notice that J.S.J workers are laying the SOD differently. Here are my observations (briefly):
a) Some crews were just literally throwing small chunks and pieces down (from shoulder height) and kicking it into place and be done for the day.
b) Some were laying it and placing it with their hands side by side, SOD overlapping for strength and that's it.
c) Some were making sure the ground was clear of debris, ground was flat and ready for sod, laying it, placing it side by side and then compacting it with a roller afterward.

I quickly noticed that not only on my yard, but many yards had discrepancies because most of these crucial steps mentioned on point c), were missed, especially rolling over it with a heavy roller to make sure the sod nice and tight. Whether it is with a ride on roller or a manual roller (for those dangerous slopes and hills) this step is highly recommended, especially when SOD is laid in small pieces and chunks like in my case.

NOT TRYING TO BE Mr. Nice Guy, and I'm a firm believer that NO, customers are not always right, but having plenty years of experience in CS, when I see leadership flaws I see them. Upon calling and speaking with Josh, to offer my observations and perhaps make the process better. Through resistance and many justifications as to why my sod was the way it was, Josh did consider sending another crew to check on the issue but continue to put much justification and even pulling the experience card by saying his company has laid thousands of yards of sod and my issue was "what can you expect", pretty much we'll take a look at it, but it is what it is, is SOD. I insisted for him to check on the missing steps mention on point c) which are crucial to this process and based on that and extensive research I have done, that could've been the issue as to why my original SOD was terrible that I can't even walk on it.

Well Mr. Josh was progressvely triggered, and his true colors came out, raising his voice, and being defensive, cutting me off, and hanging up on me. I called again to ask for his boss's information, and Josh pick up, I asked for his upper management contact information, and he pulled out the "I am the owner card" cursing at me and telling me I was "beating a dead horse" because he offered to come out and check on the problem and I kept going. Josh's temper, his lack of customer service and leadership skills, his flawed character and personality trait blinded him from the fact that my initial call was to make upper management aware of his business processes and hopes of helping J.S.J. I still believe a picture is worth thousand words, a few photos attached as objective evidence to this whole dilemma.

My neighbor had his lawn resodded by JSJ. They completed from start to finish. I was impressed with their did and work.

I got their number from their delivery truck and ordered 6 pallets of the St. Augustine. Ordered on Monday with a scheduled delivery at 1 pm on Wednesday.

Delivery arrived at 12:45 on Wednesday. I laid own sod because I like to do the work myself.

You could tell the sod was freshly cut that morning which to me is very important. Out of the 6 pallets only 5 pieces had issues. In my book that's great retention, but I was able to use anyway for small filler pieces.

The picture is my lawn about 6 weeks later.

Extremely disappointed with JSJ sod installation. There were areas they used odd small pieces that never rooted and I paid over 3200.00 for my front yard for premium grass. Called them and Brent came out and told us he would make it good....then never did. Had the nerve to tell the woman on the phone to tell me they would come out and give me an estimate to fix the grass after only three months of it being down. A company should never treat people this way....will tell everyone in my neighborhood to stay away from this company
