We couldn't be happier with the work that Koch & Associates did for us in our front yard. We've lived in our house for 5 years now and the front yard needed help. It was full of boxwoods that were not doing well.

I googled several different landscape/design companies in the area and Koch & Associates were the first one's to respond to my request. I could tell from their website that they really knew what they were doing. I felt like they could deliver the specific look for the front yard that my wife was looking for (country garden).

I had two initial phone consultations with Paul, who walked me through their process and asked questions. He gave some valuable suggestions about our project. We met Paul in person a few weeks later and we were able to walk him through what we were looking. He took measurements of our entire front and delivered a completed plan a few weeks later. We made a few small tweaks to the plan, but we loved it right away and were really excited.

Work started the last week of June and took about two weeks. We were thoroughly impressed with the crew of gentlemen they sent out to complete the work. They were all friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. Most of all, they were very respectful of our property. Every day they took their time cleaning everything up before they left. We really appreciated that.

I also have to mention that Garrett and Rosa were key in keeping everything moving along smoothly. Rosa kept us updated on upcoming deadlines and schedules and Garret kept the crew running smoothly. They both always had answers whenever I had questions.

I would have to say that this is the first time that work has been done at our house and there were no surprises, issues or headaches to deal with. Everything ran very smoothly.

We are incredibly happy with the outcome and would highly recommend working with Koch & Associates on your job.

10/10 excellent!! They converted an empty space (literally just dirt) into a beautiful functional backyard, all in 2 weeks! I loved the straightforward process, from start to finish. No flowery business, no unnecessary airs like those APLD snobs!! Towards the end, there was a slight hiccup, but it was promptly addressed and voila! our lovely new backyard project was complete. Special shoutout to the awesome team of gentlemen who did all the work- they are real artisans! They also bring their own porta potty, so that's really convenient too! 😉 All in All- highly recommend.

The recent renovation project with Koch delivered features that transformed our backyard living to a new and exciting beginning! Tyler York helped us with the design of paver layout, shrub relocation, and the repurpose of existing stoneware into a retaining wall. Rob Cremer and his crew efficiently implemented new piping around all the pavers to support the shrub relocation as well as any future piping change requirement. This gave us total peace of mind.

We had a wonderful experience with Koch & Associates. We hired them to completely redo our backyard, replacing a long, somewhat narrow yard broken into a weird cement conversation pit, a small patch of grass and a disused play structure. We now have a beautiful Trex deck, a lovely fire pit with seating and a swimming pool with a substantial swim deck. There's drip irrigation and low-voltage lighting throughout, and they even ran Cat5 twisted pair in conduit to the back of the yard so I could blanket the yard with WiFi and provide wired connectivity to the pool equipment.

During our initial meetings, Doug Koch assured us that they'd take care of the entire project, and they did. Paul, who did the design work, was friendly, thoughtful and responsive to our questions. Garrett, who led the crew that did most of the work, and the crew themselves were responsible and respectful. Garrett took time to communicate progress and answer questions. We couldn't be happier with the result.

They also stand behind their work. We recently (five months after completion!) noticed that two small trees they'd planted were looking dry and withered, and I'd meant to contact Koch about it but hadn't gotten around to it. Paul happened to come by to take some photos, noticed the trees and contacted us to ask if it was okay to replace them. That's service!

I wholeheartedly recommend Koch & Associates to anyone looking for top-quality, conscientious landscape design and construction.

They listened to what i wanted, provided ideas on how to improve the project, and designed/built exactly what I was looking for. I plan to use their services again for the next phase of my project.

Doug, Garrett and literally every member of the team they've assembled were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Garrett in particular made the entire process stress-free. And the landscape came out even better than we had hoped. If you're choosing between different landscape contractors, Koch is the right choice!

I can't say enough about how amazing this team is. Our project wasn't nearly as large and grand as the ones they have featured on their website, but they never made us feel like a lesser client. Every single person is incredibly professional and polite.

Working with Doug and Paul to plan the space was actually fun. They listened to our ideas and asked about our needs and preferences. Their experience is evident in their understanding of how to use the space; and extremely helpful since we hadn't been living there long so we had zero understanding of what could and should go where. Doug came up with a really clever way to use our front and back yards in a connected, but separated way. He came up with a really cool plan.

Paul is very smart and knows his business and loves plants. I loved talking with him. He was respectful and so kind with the few sentimental plants that my grandmother had left me. His appreciation for plants, and creating a living space for living in, made the plan beautiful.

When the project actually started, our project manager was Garrett and I wish he could be the project manager for every task in my life -- life would just run smoothly. He understood every part of the plan and how it would be executed. We ran into a few unexpected "problems" but I hesitate to even call them problems because we barely noticed. Garrett just took care of it. He or Paul would inform us of what they found and tell us the plan, then just go and get it done. He never seemed flustered and always came across as thoughtful.

The teams they brought in worked efficiently and they stayed tidy. We were on the tail-end of a massive interior renovation and the contrast between the interior contractor's teams and the Koch teams should have been embarrassing to the other guys.

A couple months later, several of our lavender plants were failing. They just hadn't taken because the heatwave happened to start right when they were planted. The dead plants were replaced within 2 weeks of our email. And then we were attacked by raccoons who rolled up our sod every night. It was a nightmare and after more than a month of daily rolling and unfurling, the sod was patchy and depressing. We told Garrett and even though it was a new job, he was able to get us on the schedule to be re-sod right away!

On schedule and on budget. Simple words that are actually shocking to folks who have been going through any renovation ordeals lately. Koch & Associates are by no means "cheap"; but they're worth more than they're charging. They are the best and now that I understand the difference between paying for quality and not, I have no problem choosing quality.

I love our yard now! We sit out there whenever it's not too cold, rain or shine. Coffee on the deck. Kids running in the grass. Random experimental plantings in the gardening box. We recommend Koch & Associates to everyone who talks to us.

We had Koch & Associates redo our backyard landscaping and we are super thrilled with the results.

We met with Doug in late 2022 and were looking for suggestions on how best to remodel our backyard. We knew we wanted our old deck demolished and the large grass lawn replaced with pavers. Doug and his team understood our requirements and came up with very detailed plans on how we could achieve our goals.

Work started in late January, Their team of master carpenters did a superb job of building a large, custom Trex deck. They were highly professional in their work and meticulous in their daily cleanup. This work was followed by the paver team who also did a great job of the large paver section despite the heavy rains that slowed things down.

Garrett did an excellent job of supervising this work and was very creative in coming up with solutions to unexpected problems along the way. At the end of the project, we had a wonderfully new transformed backyard with a lovely deck, a large paver section, some artificial grass, a new drip irrigation system, a renovated retaining wall.

Most of all, the Koch team is to be credited for their excellent customer relationship. It was very easy to deal with them and they were diligent in keeping us appraised at every step. Kudos to Doug, Garrett, Paul, Martin, Rosa and the very competent workmen!
