거리는 약 30마일(48킬로)로 북 동쪽으로 1시간 정도 소요.
주요역은 우드 사이드. 매인 스트리트. 배이사이드. 그래잇넥.포트 워싱턴.으로 맨하튼으로 출 퇴근 하는 직장인 들이 주로 이용하는 노선 이며
플러싱 메인 스트리트 부터 머리힐. 브로드웨이. 등.퀸즈. 프러싱 한인타운 이라는 곳도 지나갑니다.
또한 포트 워싱턴까지 가는동안 아름다운 경치와 미국의 전통 가옥들을 볼수있습니다.

I want to thank Antonio working on the LIRR train for helping me find my backpack left on the train. He made phone calls to the conductor and I was able to get my backpack from the conductor on the next train. If I had to wait 2 days for loss and found I would be so anxious. Appreciate the help and the excellent service!!

Haven't used the LIRR in 2 years. Cause I haven't been to the city in a while. I mean, I don't know what to say. The LIRR is the LIRR. You either know it and ride it or you don't.

There weren't any construction of labor strike delays so it was speedy and efficient. I'm too old to take a 1 hour subway ride when I can take a 20 minute LIRR ride. Ain't nobody got time for that ?. Granted I only take it to and from Penn Station
