I am a new proud owner of their Cape Cod Shed. I researched 2 competitive brands and I am very confident in my selection of a Marten Portable Building from Barry's Backyard. They have a modern shed designer on their website for customizing and pricing their sheds, plus it provides 3D images of the shed. I also had to make some changes to the delivery since my concrete contractor was backed up, so Marten was easy to work with. The install went very smooth. Lastly, they are made right here in Illinois!

These buildings are Amish built. Marten is just slapping their name on them. If you're part of the growing number of people who are choosing to no longer do business with the Amish, these sheds are ones to avoid. My shed was built at this very facility. It's by no means superior to anything else you'll find. My shed has doubled up top sills on the walls that weren't even overlapped at the corners. Just butted together and nailed. The siding right on the front of the building wasn't cut correctly and instead of cutting it right, it was screwed down and called good. It's right on the front of the shed next to the big overhead door right where everyone will see it. The roof trusses are held together by fastener mesh. No gussets or rafter ties... The worst offender were the errant nails. I found several nails that missed their mark and a couple more that looked like someone was just playing with the nail gun. My kids and grandkids will be in this shed. I went over it very carefully and removed, pounded down, bent over or cut off every errant nail I could find. These aren't the old hammered in sinkers of days gone by. These are spiral fluted and razor sharp. Anyway, I was trying to avoid an Amish built product and I failed. Regardless, the $15,000 I spent on my 16x24 lofted garage was a bit much. The owners attempt at customer satisfaction was to offer to refund my money and come get the shed in return for taking these reviews down. Needless to say, they didn't do any refunding. The owner specifically told me it's the companies mission to not make it public that they're slapping their name on Amish built sheds. He said he was going to report my reviews. They're way more concerned about public image than customer service. The shed sitting in my yard is comparable to something a high school shop class might build and in reality, that's probably an insult to high school shop classes.

Picked out a Garden shed, went through application process and had it delivered. Everything went very well and were good to work with. However a ramp was supposed to be delivered with Shed and was not. Now two weeks later still getting the run around about getting one delivered. Until then my 4 wheeler and mower sits in storage rental!! Ugh

Unbelievable service, unbelievable quality, I can not say enough good. Dealt with Troy in the sales end, and Scott on the delivery end… oh man… these guys are true professionals. Would do business with anytime.
