Josh was one of those contractors that you just know is going to do good work...he showed up on time, was professional, and listened. My project was foundation excavation/waterproofing that included a French drain system and a drain pit, along with extensive yard repair. Josh was fair in his pricing (I got 3 estimates from others), he performed good work, and his crew worked efficiently. We ran into a snag where some foundation wall repair needed to be done and he subcontracted it immediately so that the job could continue smoothly! I had a great experience and will use them again in a heartbeat, for projects big (like mine) or small.

Glenn and his crew came to my house and totally changed my entire yard for the better. All I had was weeds before and in one day they scraped it, leveled it, put in top soil, added plants and trees, added rock, retaining wall, gravel fire pit area, and more.

I was so impressed by the speed and quality of work. They guys were all very polite and great to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping help.

It's such a rare pleasure to work with a small owner-operated landscaping company that delivers so highly on quality and service. We approached the owner when he was working on a neighbor's yard, and he quickly managed to fit our needs in with his other jobs. His team is incredibly hard working, unfailingly polite, always on time, and deliver truly beautiful work. The owner is part of the team, so he is always on site, working with the team, able to answer questions, and making sure the work is getting done right. For example, he had one of his staff regularly sweeping the dust and dirt from our sidewalks and the road, so we did not look like a construction site. This is a bit of gush, but we are excited to find this team and would definitely plan to hire them for any projects in the future.

Glenn and his crew took my eyesore of a house, and turned it into the envy of my neighbors. Their work ethics and quality of work are impeccable! I get at least 2 passerby a day complementing: looks great, I'm jealous. This was the best: bang for the buck, I have ever got for my house. I was soo impressed with their work, I told Glenn, he could put his company sign on my property to advertise their GREAT work! I'm already scheduling my next project with them! Thank you so much Master's Hand Landscaping.

Beware of this company, it took me some time and research to realize how much this company lied to me and how much they ripped me off. I wanted to make completely sure before I wrote this review and now I have all the evidence in place, pictures that show and tell all. Shame on this guy to pretend to be righteous.

Update - Josh the new owner and his grandfather Glen came to me in person to apologize. Thank you for the customer service visit and I appreciate your company making things right. A complaint is a chance to show your shine and this business Master's Hand Landscaping and Excavation has chosen to show their "Shine"

Despite the not great ratings, I gave Master's Hand a call. At this point, we'd called MANY contractors and were slightly desperate for someone to come and seal off the leaking basement foundation before winter hits. Glenn called me back in about an hour and a half and was very friendly, and frankly, upset that not one company had called us back (yep, not even the ones that said "get a call back today!"), if not only to say they were not able to help.

He said he was tied up at the moment, but would be out looking at a few places later that evening and offered to come by. He arrived, made quick work of his visit and was out. He was personable and knew what he was talking about. He gave his business card stating the business is licensed, bonded and insured. That eased some worry.

The next morning I received an email with the estimate. Never having done something like this before, we expected about 10K cost...I hesitated to open the document but was SO GLAD when I did. It came in much much lower and offered a French drain option in with the estimate. It didn't feel like he was gouging the price by any means. We accepted that evening, a friday. Sharolyn (his wife) promptly emailed back and of course was happy to hear we wanted them to do the work. She said she wanted Glenn to have his weekend and would have him reach out on Monday (I personally LOVED that.).

Glenn called Monday evening and confirmed the work we wanted done, said he'd be out at 8:30 Tuesday morning. He and the crew arrived promptly, had all the supplies needed. They made quick work, that looked to be quality. I'd say by about 6:30-7 that evening that had 90-95% of all the work done. Wednesday morning they came, Glenn looked things over and they were out shortly after. I quickly received an 'invoice paid' email.

The work we had done:
Excavation to the bottom of the footers
Hand cleaned foundation
Caulked corners/cracks etc.
Primed (rubberized primer)
Bituthene sheeting from footers to ground level.
insulation barrier
French drain installation
backfilled excavated soil
established positive grade away from the foundation

For now, I would highly recommend Glenn and his guys to others, and will likely be using them next summer to level off our backyard. With winter quickly approaching, we'll see how good their work is, but I suspect our basement will remain bone dry. (I'll update if need be in spring).

I used this company last summer to do some grading, hydro-seeding and planting shrubs. The grass did not come in very well and is chock full of weeds. I called, emailed and texted to let them know I wasn't satisfied with the hydro-seeding. I have received no reply. I am going elsewhere to get the job done correctly. Would not recommend them if you are getting hydro-seeding done as part of your landscape work.
