This might be the best location/selection in Northern California for Japanese maples. I bought a Bloodgood, Emperor I, and a lovely Sharp's pygmy (1 tree for each kid for our new home). The trees look nice and healthy and decently priced. I would recommend this nursery if you are looking for a Japanese maple. It's a little further out, but well worth it.

Incredible selection of Japanese Maples in excellent condition. A real gem of a nursery in the US. Mike helped me pick one based on my preferences & sun/soil conditions. He also helped me choose the best orientation and get it into the ground when he delivered it. You really got the feeling that he was wanted to be sure his customers could successfully tend to his trees.

Our "Emporer" tree looks incredible in our yard, and I'm looking forward to many years with it.

Incredible selection of beautiful Japanese maple trees. So many different varieties to see and learn about from Mike the owner. He started his Japanese maples only nursery in 1979. I love patronizing a small local nursery. He's a lovely person and I look forward to our next purchase. We planted our tree yesterday and we couldn't me more pleased, it's beautiful!

Wow!!! we love this place! The owner is amazing and helped us tremendously in picking out the perfect tree. one season has passed and the maple has bloomed and man it looks amazing.

Just honk and wait!! When you arrive, he likes to greet each customer. Mike is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There are so many beautiful trees at his nursery. I explored the nursery for about an hour before asking for prices. I was able to find some amazing trees for very competitive prices. He has many different types of maple. There is something for everybody, from starters, to finishing touches that would look as though they had been there for years. What a wonderful experience. I cant wait to go back!

Mike knows all there is to know about Japanese Maples. We had purchased 2 of them from another nursery (which cost us $1500.) that ended up dead after a year and a half. We bought one from Mike and because we had previous issues, he personally supervised the planting of the new tree that we purchased from him. If you want REAL customer service along with someone who has the highest level of expertise in regards to all Japanese Maples, don't shop elsewhere - Mike's (Momiji Nursery) is the only place to buy one.

Mike helped me select 2 Japanese Maples after I first purchased my home many years ago. Since I live close to his Nursery, he even helped me trim the root balls and walk my property to offer suggestions on the other trees and landscaping! If other owners were as helpful and kind, purchasing something you enjoy every day would be even easier and more fulfilling.

Don’t want to one star it cause I don’t believe it’s their fault. I’ve tried to visit a few times in the passed 2 weeks but they are always closed. Google says they are open I finally got someone to answer today and turns out they are closed during winter. Maybe someone can update the google hours so people don’t waste their time driving over. Can’t wait for it to actually be open. Looks really cool from the outside.
