Don't try going here if you are a regular off the street retail customer. Contractors only!! I went here with my landscaper looking for some flowering plants for around my door, and they have a wide and varied collection of everything for the Florida homeowner.

If you want to shop around and get educated about local gardening tips I have nothing against you. But there are better nurseries to enjoy a lovely weekend stroll with plenty of informative staff on hand.

This place is for contractors. I’m a landscape designer and I don’t do large jobs. But I respect a place that has what I need when I need it, offers low prices on quality stock, and is located conveniently. The only way this gets done is through efficiency. In my experience they are happy to make a suggestion or two and are willing to let outdated material go at a discount, but even if you are a retail costumer you really need to know exactly what you want and how much of it you need before you call or go.

The bromeliad selection is one of the best I’ve ever seen - even through the summer. Here again it is helpful to know a fair amount about southwest florida gardening and ‘right plant, right place’ practices.

One thing I’ve noticed that they do well is keeping up on re-potting their stock (a rarity for nurseries). Also ask for an inventory guide as it includes not only what’s on the lot but everything that might be available for order depending on the season.

If I could rate them a zero I would. Very cocky and arrogant owner to include the son. All 3 office people were ready to tackle me. Not to mention they NEVER answer their phone. I questioned prices on my receipt and they began slapping their computer to point out a convenience fee. They are always hung over looking and can’t remember what they tell people. They were very clear that my $400 I spent meant nothing to them. One day they’ll wish they had that $400. To many other nurseries out there to deal with the ones who don’t have customer service skills.

Naples Botanicals has a broad selection of unusual quality plants that should be used more often in our SW FL landscapes.

Their selection of difficult to find palm trees for example is fun to see and to use.

They are very knowledgeable and the price points represent good value.

These guys have an expansive variety of landscaping materials. Ground cover, native material, ornamentals, citrus and shade trees. Knowledgeable staff and very reasonable prices.

Rudest experience I've had in a long time. Unprofessional and angry for no apparent reason. This 20 ish guy actually got mad when I asked for a suggestion as to what kind of plant to buy that is drought resistant. I guess he'd rather be hanging out at the beach. Work is HARD!
