We hired Pearce nearly a year ago when our lawn was dying. After several months I wasn't seeing any improvement and tried to cancel. They practically begged me to be patient and give them some time. We trusted them and did, and the grass was improving until their last treatment. When they came out to check the grass they treated it with something else right in the middle of the day at its hottest despite my questioning it. The grass looks even worse now and we are back where we started nearly a year ago. We've thrown our money down the drain and have to start all over at this point. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was being told that I over watered the grass which was not the case. St Augustine grass is made for high water anyway and if this is true the entire development I live in would have brown grass as well and it doesn't. I agree with the other several bad reviews here and I would not recommend this company . They didn't want to take responsibility for anything and told me that they just couldn't meet my needs. Very unprofessional. I will be posting pictures and my experience on our Facebook group for my neighborhood so everyone can see the progress of of our lawn for nearly a year. Very very disappointing.

I have had nothing but a great experience with Pearce Lawn Care. They have done an amazing job keeping my yard looking great, especially during the drought we had before the heavy rains. Doug has been amazing every time he has come out; he lets us know when he's going to come and has only had to cancel once, and that was due to storms. He's very professional and takes his time with the treatments he completes on our yard. Jen is an amazing customer rep, extremely nice and professional, and her and Mike have been so knowledgeable, especially with someone who has had very little experience caring for her own yard and the specific types of grass/sod you find here in Florida. They all truly care about the yards they take care of, and they even fixed a large issue across my backyard caused by a previous lawn company. The customer service has been amazing any time they've contacted me or vice versa, and their rates are great for the amount of services they do! I would highly recommend Pearce Lawn Care!

Parents started using Pearce in the early 1990s and I've been using since 2013. Every issue I've had has been addressed and fixed by the owner and or staff.

The company has now changed hands for the 3rd time since my original review and I will now be canceling my service. I have not seen the same tech more than 2x in several years. When Mr. Pearce sold the company my expierience has just been circling the drain. Numerous attention to detail issues.
Basic dollar weeds, fire ant hills, random mushrooms popping up, clovers around sprinkler heads etc. All of these occurring soon after the service and after the payment is made.

Upon calling and waiting in a phone tree, it takes several days to hear from a supervisor. The supervisor calls and or comes out, listens to the complaint, puts out the fire, assures it wont happen again, makes you feel validated, gets you a new tech and the cycle repeats again on the next service. This is all happening while getting emails and texts to upgrade my service and pay a higher price. No thank you.

I am a customer of Pearce Lawn Care. On Friday, 1.26.24 Pearce Technician Caitlin Haray came to my home to perform tree/shrub care.

As soon as I greeted Caitlin at my door, I knew she was special. Her friendliness, knowledge of her trade, and work ethic were evident from that greeting to completion her work. She portrayed an attitude that my yard was her yard and she left nothing behind. In addition to a thorough job, Caitlin took the time to educate me on various topics, from spotting bug feces to signs of overwatering my lawn. Add patience to her list of characteristics because I ain't the sharpest tool...

Thank you for having Caitlin on your team and having my home on her agenda. I have never felt more confident about my lawn/shrubs as I do today because of her.

I signed a year contract for seven applications ($120/application) to take care of some dollar weed and sedge in my lawn. While my lawn would green up for a week after each application, the weeds always remained. When I signed the contract, the owner Dave assured me they'd be able to take care of my relatively minor weed problem. However, I canceled my service after the seventh application explaining that I was not pleased with their weed control, Dave sent me a highlighted contract which stated that they do not guarantee against weeds. Surprise, surprise.

Bottom line, what they verbally promise and contractually guarantee are not always the same. Read and heed the fine print.

Hired Pearce April 2020. I have only seen his truck here 5 times, I should mention I work from home so it is not a matter of me missing them when they do come here. He never treated out to my property line in the back, and when I advised him of the lot line he said he wasn’t aware of the boundary even though it’s fenced with sprinkler heads. He also said it would cost more. Never mind apologizing for this oversight in basic observation. My lawn looks much much worse since I hired him 4/2020, which is when I bought this 3 year old house. It had a thin spot in the front about the size of a doormat, and there was a 6 feet x 2 feet thin spot in the back yard. I had dollar weed because of the rain. I spoke with him after the initial inspection and PAID IN FULL FOR THR YEAR (~500.00) til April 2021. My thin spots have multiplied in size and the weeds are all over the place. He assured me I should wait till April 2021 to see any improvement (he stated that September 2020), but here we are Jan. 1st 2021 and it looks just godawful. April is around the corner. This is not a good service — they actually damaged the lawn by neglect. Possibly using watered down substandard chemicals who knows? His excuse was that it’s the time of year and he is banned from using fertilizer due to county regulations. However my neighbors, whose lawns are older, have immaculate St. Augustine that they treat themselves with spreaders from Lowe’s and Home Depot, or they have hired other services. I cannot advise more against hiring Pearce. I am preparing to have the lawn re-sodded soon, at great expense, as 2 other licensed technicians said roughly half of my lawn has been taken over by sedge weeds and insects.

I hate this company not only do they not listen to a homeowners wishes. They also purposely have broken things on my property and use their blower to blow trash & grass seed onto my organic garden.
