The team did an amazing job on our sodding project in NW Chicago - the previous owners had left these pavers and it only took the team four and a half hours to completely finish the project.
Communication was somewhat difficult around scheduling but we're very happy with the results, and that may just be because it was a busy time of year for landscaping. Would definitely plan to work with them again for future projects.

These guys are great! They had redone my sunken patio off my family room and added a paver patio in my yard ( see before and after photos). They were timely and professional in converting a non useable backyard into a place now we love. They recently added a fence that has been admired by all my neighbors. Raul Jr is great at providing the best solutions and options for space planning and Raul Sr and his staff are craftsman at installation. You will love these guys. 5 Stars!

We had them take out the grass on one side of our front yard, to prepare it for wildflower seed. They did a phenomenal job. Great work, quickly done, very neat and professional. They even cleaned up in the street where their vehicle had been. We are incredibly happy with the finished product. Definitely going to hire them again.

This is the by far the best landscaping company we have ever used. They have done our all of our landscaping, all of our trees, all of our brick paver work including patio, sidewalk and driveway. They have replaced my front porch, steps and pillars with stone, built a retaining wall on the sides of our sidewalk and poured a concrete slab for my shed foundation. They also put up 350 plus ft of cedar fence around my yard. The fence was stained and sealed. Everything has been done on time and in some cases done before expected. Highly recommended A++++

In summer 2021, we used Raul’s team from R&G Almanza Landscape, Inc. to create a new paver patio and re-sod part of our backyard. They also filled in pavers on our existing patio and dug a trench for new electrical lines. They did a beautiful job! In spring 2022, R&G Almanza built us a gorgeous, cedar fence (slat by slat). Raul was very professional and easy to work with. The work is impeccable. We will use them for all future work in our yard. 5 stars!!

I have hired Raul Almanza twice for my hardscaping jobs. Two years ago, he redid the area below my deck where water had been collecting. He placed in Hollandstone pavers at the perfect slope to send the water away from my home without collecting in puddles. I rehired him this spring to redo my front walkway. He recommended a drain to further ensure that there would be no puddles. See the before and after pics below. Raul is very professional and responsive (answers texts promptly). His crew was very hard working. And the price was very fair.

Almanza removed sections of old fence and installed a total of about 100 ft of custom cedar fence with gates: 80 ft with vertical lattice to replace previous side and rear perimeter fences and 20 ft of shorter 4ft tall fence between a detached garage and the house along the driveway. The 6ft tall fence with a top lattice was not cheap, but it exceeded our expectations in its high quality---the edges are planed and the lattice rods are solid 1" square cross-section and embedded in a routed out center of the top rail--made like solid wood furniture, not like the more typical flat lattice. They also installed a retaining wall at the rear of the property where our backyard is about 8" higher than the alley, and they poured a concrete pad off the alley for our garbage cans.

We appreciated that they listened carefully to our non-standard needs for fences that were not simply straight sections and they checked with us for each detail of the project to make sure it was exactly how we wanted it. Raul Sr or Raul Jr or both were usually on site to make sure that the work was done correctly, and they had enough workers on the job that the work was done pretty quickly once the job was started. One example of attention to detail concerns the ends of the fences at building walls where posts could not be installed, so the fences attach to 2"x4"s rather than 4"x4" posts. The nice detail is that that the ends of the 2"x4"s were still capped by half caps to match the caps on the posts.

Their response to my initial email to schedule an estimate was a little slow, but we are glad that we waited until we heard back instead of just going with another company with a faster initial response. We are very glad that we hired R&G Almanza for our fence project because we got just what we wanted and the fence is actually better than we expected.
