Sea Star is still standing, but each room has been gutted from the damaged from the 2 hurricanes. It's probably a long time before it's finished

I was able to find this Motel while driving by after declining to stay at another hotel in the area. We rented an efficiency for four nights and loved it! We walked to the beach everyday and used the common area frequently. It was wonderful. We met other guests that had been staying there for months at a time. The owners are extremely welcoming and gave us a safe, clean place to stay. I LOVE the fact that Betty washes the comforters and all the sheets after every stay. I could smell the Downy and it was wonderful!! We had everything we needed. We even had access to a washer and dryer just outside our room. The only drawback is they do not have a pool but you can walk across the street to the ocean so it wasn't a problem for a four day stay. I am so thankful we found this place!! We stayed in room #4.

Betty Ann and Bruce are true blue Gods children. They were very personable and accommodating. They didn’t have a problem with me extending my stay and they made me feel right at home. I feel blessed to meet such a nice couple and I will always remember my stay,, while I was closing my real estate purchase. The only problem I had was staying at a corporate hotel the first week I was in Largo. Wish I knew about the Sea Star before I drove by it. THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!!! It’s easy for love these people!

We really wished we could have stayed longer! The location is perfect... Indian Rocks beach access is right across the street. The owners are so kind and helpful. They let us borrow their wagon and beach chairs for when we walked down to the beach. They also provided us with a roll away bed for our daughter, which was so nice of them. The room was very cute and quaint. We did see just a couple roaches, but I think they were fleeing from the incoming hurricane. The entire courtyard was flooded the morning we left, so its understandable. The shower was also a dirtier than I would have preferred, but nothing I couldn't handle myself. One thing I would suggest is extra blankets in the room. The one thing quilt wasn't enough for my husband and myself.||It isn't perfect, but it's a great place for the price and location. We had a great time and would love to return when we go back to the area.

I arrived on a Sunday. I stayed two weeks. Lots of repeat clientele here. They offer weekly, and good monthly rates. My room was clean with an efficiency kitchen. Every thing worked. The bathroom was a bit small but nice. This place offers small efficiencies up to a 2 bedroom. Ask for a back room. Away from Gulf Blvd. The motel is across the beach. Had bikes to use and beach gear, and chairs. That is the Pros. Nice people. They do like pets. ||||Cons were the rooms and linens, mattress's, TV's could be better. The mattress in both rooms were old and could not get comfortable. The TV could be in better working order. There was TCM for movies, AMC, regular cable shows. They have religious papers lying around. It did not bother me although someone not Christian might feel somewhat put off. I stayed in #3 and was moved to #13 due to noise from Gulf drive.||||This property is across from a great no nonsense beach. The people I met were kind, but I stayed away due to the Covid-19. Beaches as well as many eateries closed due to the Florida Governor.

We stayed in the one bedroom #8 at the Sea Star Motel for a week. The place was clean and had the amenities we needed. The King size bed was comfortable. The owners are very hospitable, accommodating and easy going. They have bikes, beach chairs, etc for guest to use. They are dog friendly which is hard to find in that area. Perfect location to beach and restaurants. Our unit was quiet. The only negative is the Internet was very sporadic and unreliable but I think that is common in that area since it’s so close to the beach. |

I love Sea Star! Clean and lovely Florida rooms. The location is very handy. It's near the best beach and really great restaurants. There is a beautiful garden here also. But most of all I feel so welcome here. My pet is welcome here too which is very important to me . I will be coming here for years to come.
