Ordered fuel tank for my generator on 10/7, paid for it then. 2 1/2 weeks later on the 31st, I called and they said the tank was in. I asked if I could drop the generator off and have them install the fuel tank, they said no probem, it would be about 1 to 1 1/2 hours labor. I got a call 2 1/2 weeks later on November 18th that I was missing parts, I asked for them to call me back with an estimate for everything. I called again on November 26th because I hadn't heard anything, they said I owed over $500 to get the generator. I never OK'd that amount for repair, I was never called and given the estimate. The only estimate I got was for 1 to 1/2 hours of labor to install the fuel tank.

I brought in two hedge trimmers to be fixed here. I was quoted a price of just over $400. They called me after 8 weeks to tell me my items were ready for pickup. Upon pickup, they present me with the bill for $400+ and ONE of my trimmers. Mind you, these hedge trimmers cost ~$550 new.

They were returning a single hedge trimmer at the cost they quoted to repair two hedge trimmers, or for only $150 less than I could by a new trimmer.

I notified the shop that this simply was not what we agreed to. I wouldn't repair two old trimmers for 70% of their replacement value. The price they gave me was to fix both of my trimmers

I can't even figure out what they were thinking. Why would you call me back before both of the hedge trimmers were ready? The only thing I can think is that they were trying to be "courteous" and get one of the two back to me since it was already 8 weeks into "waiting for parts".

This business messed up and became extremely defensive rather than taking responsibility.

99 percent of business dealings should go on with out any issue. But, how a business responds to an issue that arises and takes responsibility is what I look for.

I regret having attempted to do business with this shop. In the end, they held my possessions for 2 months and didn't deliver on their promise.

When did you bring them in? I have no record of working on 2 hedge trimmers for you. The last time I have you in the computer is when your son put a edger on your account since he did not have your CC and you accused me of trying to steal from you and harass you since I sent a statement.

UPDATE:
You have no recollection of this occurring? You had my trimmers for 8 weeks.

In regards to your accusatory response. ..I have never once purchased any edger "on credit" in this manner. I don't leave my house without my wallet and my son is 6 years old...

I called to get a part for my tractor. It took a couple of days for the right person to quote me the correct part#, shipping time and price. They originally told me it should only take 4-5 days. I was happy with their service at that point. About 5 days later i called back just to see since i hadn't confirmed if they would call when the part arrived. They told me it would be in by thursday and this was on a wed. So i waited until the following thursday ( a full week later) to call again. "Nope nothing yet" was their reply. No "let me check" or "I'll make a call" just "yeah they still haven't gotten over covid fully around there". So i asked if someone would be contacting me when it arrived and they said yes. I waited a few more days. No call. I called back and was told the manager would return my call. They never did. I wrote an email asking if the part was coming within the next day or 2 and if not to just cancel the order and id go through another vendor. No reply. I called and set up the same order through another vendor 2hrs away but was given way more information and help. I emailed stuart lawn to let them know they can cancel my order. Still have yet to hear from them. No calls. No emails. No explination. My original order with them would have been near a month ago now. I have all call logs and emails to prove their lack of customer support. Do not even reply to me with "we're sorry we hope you'll give us another chance".
Long story short for prospective customers of stuart lawn and garden. If you have another vendor to order parts from across the state. Make the drive.

Always great service the lady with blond hair is always very nice great smile . I also went on a Saturday and there was one guy working by himself. He still gave 100 percent on making sure I had everything I needed .

So far they were helpful. I'm still waiting on the outcome of my chainsaw that I took to have service sense it has been sitting for many years. They said that it would take a week for the results. Just an update, they kept their word and it took a week and my chain saw works great. It would recommend this company to service your chainsaw.

The absolute WORST customer service. Avoid this place (both locations) ordered a part for my trimmer was told “it’ll be here tomorrow “ 3 days later I went back nobody had a clue , ended up taking 3 weeks to get the part that they said was at their other location. They don’t know how to return phone calls either. Also took mower in for warranty service , they did Nothing to help support my claim w Honda. Told it would be a week , called 10 days later was told they never said 1 week, it would now be 3 weeks to even look at it. With hurricane approaching I asked if I could pick up mower and return in 3 hours without losing my place in-line. When I returned the guy behind counter said he threw out ticket I would have to start over. The only reason I kept mower their is that they are the only Honda authorized service from here to Ft Pierce. I’ll never step foot in their stores,.
They have ruined what Crumps built up.
